I made 2 buckets and a rez and no matter what i do they keep leaking. Ive used aquarium silicone but its the tiniest leak that keeps poking through. They all have seals sigh would of heen cheaper to buy them. The whole t fitting at this point is covered in silicone20200427_195012.jpg20200427_195012.jpg20200427_195012.jpg

I was trying to offer that as a solution. The barbed elbows that came on my bucket even leak. How much wiggle room does the barb have going into the bucket? Do you have a gasket along with silicone?

This will help a little better than silicone. Needs a 3/4 inch hole. And will fit your half inch barb

It had wiggle room so i covered the bard with the 1/2 tubing and slid it back in. Then sealed the back and front with aquarium silicone....i didnt use a gasket just a seal

You're going to have to purchase some proper fittings and seals. Patching with silicone will not be reliable, and when you're in week seven of flower, you definitely don't want to accidentally move a bucket and spring a leak... or worse, spring a leak when you're not home.

Or will i need something else.
I was trying to find a 1/2 female threaded pipe i could put through the seal like this Screenshot_20200427-222110_Chrome.jpg and connect to this insteadScreenshot_20200427-221620_Amazon Shopping.jpg

I would do the half inch threaded bulkhead to the barb so you can use your tubing. Is the tubing for ease of movement?

Are you using silicone to seal the other end of that T coupl

Rubber grommets like this are designed to run cables and the like through, not for sealing a water tank line.
Those grommets seal water out like bone other man. I've built copious setups using 1/2,3/4,&1" they all hold water tight with the hydro flow barbed fittings

Uniseals will work for sticking a whole 1/2" PVC pipe through. The donut grommets are made for 1/2" hydro flow barbed fittings to then connect black vinyl tubing to. Not PVC.

This is all the wrong stuff. You needed a 3/4" grommet, a BLACK hydro flow 3/4" tee. 3/4" black hydro flow tubing and a 3/4" barbed ball valve.

Well after this grow I'm going to be doing an rdwc. And mine are going to be set up so I can't move them around. Plus they are going to be 27 gallons each. Whats the whole setup look like?

Or is something better...
The system il trying is a 5gallon bucket res ontop of a 5 gallon control bucket. Control bucket connect to res with a float valve and gravity. Control bucket to dwc same height no pumps

The res and control are outside the tent
