OMG.. Dude i didnt realize all the shit people have been feeding you... well some of it is legit... you just seem to get pointed in the wrong direction...
Ok so ill help you out... Ill start with what you did wrong eh?
1.. Container/Soil: You want to use a small container at first....say a party cup.
The reason is because you want to use the weaker soil. (which you did) but after a say 2 to 3 weeks you want to transplant into a decent soil mix.
Believe it or not I ONLY use MG soil..People say that it will burn your plants... but thats cause they add shit to it...you read there threads and you see them do that same thing you did... GIVE THEM NUTES.
2. Gave them Nutes. Small plants with barely any leafs on it shouldnt be given nutes... especially Big Bloom (big bloom is an add on to normal feeding schedule during FLOWERING)
Im not sure if you mention this or not. But how sure are you of the dosage?
DO you have a digital pen? Did you check the PPM lvl, PH?
I only add nutes at maybe 5th or 6th week of flowering...and it is a very very small dose... say 400ppm max. thats after adding the big bud and beastie bloom..i use advanced nutrients A&B nutrients if i need to give it food. (specific grow and bloom whenever needed.)
I see those two major issues. The light is a small issue and i veg with HPS as well... although it is later when they are transplanted the first time. Say week 4.
Think this way... Every 4 weeks you want to tranplant if you can.
Soil nutrients with regular watering usually provides all the nutrients the plants need for about 4 weeks. Hence why then you tranplant... But then you dont add nutes..
See in soil you really shouldnt have to add nutes. they allready contain the goodness.
Please read the following thread that i opened up for this specific information..
I also Highly Highly recommend visiting Mandalas web site and see there troubleshooting guides and soil guides that they have on there... they have taught me allot.
