They call themselves Christian and they're influenced by the exact same things your "true Christians" are; the bible
Religion teaches people to accept their cult over reality, this, as you can imagine, leads to many real problems. Take the abortion issue for instance, most Christians oppose abortion based on biblical or religious reasons, not scientific or medical ones. This leads to action in the political sphere where those beliefs can result in criminal action. So in effect, what's actually happening is Christians are using the government to push their religious beliefs onto society, many of whom don't agree with them. That's just one example, and there are many, many more.
No need to go back to the inquisition to illustrate the sadistic nature of organized religion, many of us experience it every day
'We' is all the free-thinkers, atheists and agnostics throughout human history. The death cult you believe in, as well as its ugly cousins, have murdered, maimed, tortured and exiled non-believers for thousands of years throughout human history. Now, for the first time people are free to question why and ask themselves important questions concerning the morality of such acts, and to many, the threat of "believe or die!" isn't a legitimate choice at all.
If people simply questioning your beliefs makes you uncomfortable, how convinced could you possibly be?
