It's near impossible to import Marijuana, K, Cocaine and Ecstasy here.

I've only ever bought oz's and those were about $350/oz for good (not fabulous) weed mostly from mail order suppliers. Being down at the bottom of the feeding chain I've never seen a lb for less than $3500k.
I smoke about 1oz per month and that's smoking whenever I want to. In another thread people were talking about med users going through 1 oz /day!! That would be $100-$200 per day if they were buying it.

How many of you guys have figured out what it actually costs you to grow a lb?
I run a closet grow with a 600WHPS. Between seeds, soil, nutes, electricity etc, it costs me $400 - $500 to grow between 8oz - 16oz. So that's between $400 - $1000 lb. Not exactly free.
I should probably throw in another $100 for rent. Rent doesn't cost me out of pocket since I own the house, but the grow needs real estate and the use of real estate costs money. And yet another $100 to amortize the initial cost of setting up the closet and subsequent improvements. That would bump the cost of a small harvest up to $1400 lb.
None of this includes my time and labor which is significant and again in principle is a real cost.
Of course there are other advantages to growing, choice of strain, quality , independence. And also, biggers grows benefit from economy of scale. A grow my size is probably the worst place to be in this regard. I buy everything retail, in small packages and pay for shipping.

Are these street prices or Med user prices? Personally anyone who is selling to med people at 100%+ profit( you know it's happening) should be taken out back and beaten severly. It's one thing to make your $$ on the street, but sell to the people who need it at cost, otherwise I'd say your no better than any of the big pharma companies were trying to get away from.
If I were to sell my goods it would ba around 200-250 a Z and around 3G's a LB, street, which would undercut all the greedy ass dealers around me charging 300-350 an Z, and I'd still pull a handsome profit. "Market value" is just an excuse to sell at highest possible profit margins, generally your investment doesn't fluctuate that greatly.
I'm a personal grower, so my logic is WAY different than the commercial guy, I'm not in it to retire off my crops.

what are "Med user prices"?!?! i give away oil or bud (Their choice) to patients, FREE of charge.
im currently serving an MS patient, ALS Patient and a severe spinal cord injury. i supply all of these people with medicine, free of charge.
i HATE people that sell to medical patients. as you put it......
maybe then they would know what its like to NEED marijuana?

Coming from where i live, It's 20 a gram, 90-120 for a quarter, 300-400 a oz, 3-4 grand for a pound of some good bud, not exotic or anything to blow your mind. Regular shwag is 15 a quarter, 60 a oz, and for some reason there charging 200 for a qp and like 350 for a pound. Shits dumb, i can drive to houston and pick up a pound of some brick weed for 150. These numbers might vary from dealer to dealer. Or you can do like the other guy said and grow you a pound for like 50-100 bucks.

"Med user prices" would cover cost of supplies, equipment, labor, but no profit, which is the way most med laws allow. I'm all for helping but I need to cover my end of things, like I said sell at cost. Terminal patients would be free, for obvious reasons. Now if you can offset you patients med cost by moving some on the street, it's all good.. kinda like subsidized health care...lol.
