In Boston, you don`t dig, put up one ladder,bang in one nail, dump or strip anything without first a permit from the building dept. The job permit for a water project will have that first permit signed off at completion of the job, to do that you must present the full scale of the job from start to finish including results from the water test. the patches on the street the place you dumped you dirt, all kinds of things that have a fee and then they may invent a few for extra fees.

It`s all about the fees. The building dept is in City Hall. Smaller suburbs have one that bounces around from days to days when they`re open, but in town that office has a line out the door daily. There are several subs. working for the City Inspector because the scale of the city is too much for one guy.

If you do work not permitted, you will have to get it all strait before you can sell your home or building. Most of which is removing not permitted work and fines for it being non permitted.

I see no reason Flint Mi would be different. All cities have building codes.

no shit einstein. the flint river supply is 100 yrs old and so would that permit. there was no fucking construction to approve. flint had approved a new pipeline from lake huron but it's not finished yet so the emergency manager, to save money, made the call to use the flint river and disconnect from the detroit water system

under an emergency manager, ALL POWER and DECISIONS are made by him/her. the em signed off on using the flint river. said emergency manager was APPOINTED by snyder. the department of environmental quality also work for snyder.they spent the last 2 fucking years telling the citizens of flint there was nothing wrong with their water even after they had 2 yr old test results showing the problem. snyder's chief of staff wrote an email saying the residents of flint were getting "blown off by us" 2 yrs ago. seeing a pattern??

since he was such a success as the emergency manager in flint, snyder made him the emergency manager for detroit public schools.

in all fairness, do some research before you get made to look stupid again. my 12 yr old puts up better arguments.

if all you're going to do is fall back on partisan bullshit to deflect shit........ btw, the additive they needed to prevent the lead cost $140 a fucking day

I don't want to run a retail store. If I did, I wouldn't discriminate based on race.

In fact, I WOULDN'T patronize a store that did discriminate based on race. However, unlike you, I would not attack a racist owner of a store or try to act like I had a right to run his business for him. I'd simply let the free market punish him and it would.

Still not an engineer. So, did the DEQ fuck up or did the government disregard the water results? In my understanding it was the latter....
