I'd like to call a big, fat, BS on that one. He goes on to say that he was pushing the amendment because he wants to protect marriage from 'activist' judges, ect.

The highlight for me, is that he was pushing this amendment without knowing even the most basic facts about the people he was snatching marriage away from. What kind of president is that? You try to get the constitution amended without doing any research on the people that this change will effect most?

Either he's LYING on a grand scale, because he doesn't want to be seen as an idiot or a bigot. Or he's just that bad of a leader.

Is that your Impala SS in your avatar? I think a race is in order. I'm trying to get the parts to redo my front brakes at the present time, then after registering it, I'm ready. I'm thinking around 11.50 in the 1/4, but that could go either way by a 1/2 second. If it is slower than 12.50, I'm gonna sell it.

Hi there We Tarded and thanks for the welcome. I kind of half expected to be getting my balls chewed off when i came back, just had my cat check them, she miaowed they're still intact. Been lurking for about two weeks maybe more, doing plenty reading as is suggested. I'm just getting ready for my first grow; very excited indeed. This place has proved invaluable, some very scholarly voices around. I decided 'lurking ' was better than asking dumb or already asked questions. lurking lurking, got to love that word in this context, sounds seedy and subversive. Jus' like grannie.

For someone who no doubt considers themselves something of a linguist, i find it surprising you're not aware that a word or phrase may have multiple definitions, and the application of a little interpretive common sense is worth doing before capitalising on opportunities to create fatuous semantic arenas where one's false sense of superiority is reinforced.

I was not talking about handing over advantages, i was talking about taking liberties; the liberties of the people of Iraq and of course the people of the U.S. If the freedom afforded the authorities through such legislation as the patriot act doesn't frighten you, and the murder of hundreds of thousands of innocent people doesn't fill you with revulsion, then i feel i should not even be having this conversation. The lies told by the U.S and U.K. governments that have been exposed, not on you tube,not by Alex Jones or Ron Paul, but in the mainstream media, should set off alarm bells in any decent human being to the extent that the resulting tinnitus would be something that would be a part of them to the grave.

I wish to apologise to you undertheice for the way i responded to your response to my initial post. Truth be told, i felt a little intimidated by your very clean use of English, rationalism, and the fact that you called me out on the holes that are the inherent companions of my opinions. I took this debate a little too seriously, and as a result activated an aspect of myself that i'm generally none too proud of. I come from fighting stock and have a propensity towards the defensive; this is something i'm working on, having witnessed the futility of projection for a lifetime. I'm steadily but slowly endevouring to understand my own sense of the diplomacy/ appeasement concern, but clearly sometimes can't help but create and perpetuate conflict. I am not fully versed in the manner in which this site works, but assume that the administrator got involved and stressed the neccessity of abiding by the rules. I wish only one person that i can think of any harm, but that is because he is pointless pest, and i have to witness the suffering that unfolds as a result of his actions in my own community. I generally have the maturity to no no daddy don't make me look at that picture of the mooooooooon.
