Probably most of my issue was using the rain water as I was afraid to use tap water. Turns out my tap water is slightly acidic at about 6.8 and perfect as long as I let some of the chlorine evaporate off. I'll be using my tap water from now on. Even tho there is good compost in the medium I picked up some basic leafy green food for them, just so I have it on hand if they start asking for it. I'm going to steep some samples of potted soil and test them and see if the egg shells are doing their job of correcting the imbalance caused by the rain water acidity.

Im a gal, actually. Lol but yes, I wanna grow the best I possibly can. I even picked up some rooting compound, so that when I sex my plants (assuming I'm going to lose about half) I can take some cuttings for clones. In fact I have enough bulbs to set up another small flowering box, I may just take some cuttings early on, and throw them on 12/12 and sex the cuttings so I know before I start to flower the mamas.

The eggshells literally take months to break down. And then, only if you have a good microbial bio-herd.
I assure you that the eggshells are not working yet.

You could always do distilled water and get some ph up and some ph down

First of all, get your municipal water data, google can assist you. Compare it with your rainwater, chances are your tap water is worlds better. If it is anywhere near neutral, just use it. Your baking soda and vinegar tests are pathetically inadequate. Also; Fuck chlorine dissipation, fuck chloramine treatment unless the ppm for either are high. You are overthinking this in a huge way. Use discernment, don't fall for absolutist explanations, and ...use discernment. Most of all, again, don't overcomplicate it. Good luck.

I have been reading. Science is fucking science. You add a base to an acid you get a reaction and Vica versa. It was the best I had at the moment. Better than not giving a fuck if you ask me. I haven't stopped reading in the past 3 weeks. Everyone seems to have different advice. I wasn't fucking with my plants Til they started showing deficiencies. Seems my best bet might be to stay away from the negativity I'm finding in this forum and just say fuck it. Thanks.

Hi Kush! Out of curiosity, what did you mean by "Opened the lid"? Sounds as if you have these plants in a sealed container. If so, any ventilation? I'm assuming your plants will start looking better now that you're addressing the pH. Keep us posted on your progress.

They are in an old wooden record player stereo that's been gutted, the lid is on a hinge. They are 24 hours light. There is a passive I take and 12v outtake fan installed always running. They were fine til I added more light. Now until I adjust ventilation I've just left the lid cracked a bit.

All the girls were dried out but one tonight. I watered them all with their first dose of nutes at 1/4 recommended dose and a tiny bit of Epsom salts dissolved. Lime green plant wasn't giving me run off, just getting heavier. I gently reached down lifted her up and into a small area of soil, checked the pots and the drain holes were plugged, I cleared them, added some medium sized gravel, some of the previously watered soil medium, stuck her back in and gently laid soil around her careful not to compress it. Now that she can drain properly she will be much happier. Tested run off at 6.2
Now to check them in the morning and see how they faired out. Here's some pics of the little ladies.
