love the posts my friend. doing great work! impressive buds too. I was pretty lazy with my lights to until I found some cheep easy adjustable hangers. they have them at most grow stores but here's a link. great for keeping your lights on top of your plants and can quickly back them of to water. def worth 20 bucks. I have them on all 6 of my 600 hps also on my T5s and MH's lol

I have yo-yo's but they don't extend far/low enough for the T5 panel on the left. My garden is built under the stairs so the ceiling of the veg box is slanted. I will post some new pics in a bit, after I have a few drinks and tokes. :bigjoint:

Nice lookin stuff man, diggin it! Like the pics with all the explanation text, really helps us get a better idea what you got going. Hey one tip I have for you is this..when you top, remove as little as possible of the foliage while still getting the tip. Redestrubutes the hormoes like you want, but the less foliage you remove the less shock you pose on the plant. Mass roots = mass foliage, they need each other to survive. So removing lots of foliage = loss of roots and loss of time to grow it all back. Keep rockin though, love how green they all are.

I am not sure what it is you are trying to say. I should have toppped it sooner and removed less? Or I should have let the roots get stronger before I removed so much?

For the CCOB training it has to be topped above the 1st node. Everything I have read says to wait until 4 to 6 nodes have formed and then cut it at the 1st or 2nd node. My wonder woman barely had 3 nodes when I topped it. :(

I think he was trying to say just remove less top when topping, lol

At least that what it sounded to me, i have done it plenty of times not diggin down in the top and find out you actually cut maybe 2 sets of nodes instead of the one on the top.

wheni top i let it grow 4-5 nodes and cut at the second node meaning i took 2-3 nodes off witch is ok. it is hard not to remove the leaf if it is attached to the top that was cut off

If you notice in those pics I posted, I transplanted the wonder woman from my 5x5 diy air-pruning starter pot to a #1 smart pot. I was not impressed with the amount of root pruning that had been happening so all of my future seedlings will be going into #1 smart pots to veg. Once they are tall enough for training they will go into 3ga smart pots or 3.5ga Air-Pails and have the cage added. Hopefully the transplant/training will take place 10 - 20 days before flower. The chronics I transplanted from #2 smart pots to the 3.5ga pails never missed a beat. The roots just exploded into the bigger pails.

OK, I cut off what I intended to. I think I should have waited another 4 - 7 days longer though, and cut off more.

Right, this is my same plan but I am cutting at the 1st node for CCOB. I had figured I could top it at the first node when it hits 3 or 4 nodes.

I did a little photo shoot where I pulled them all out of the flower box and put them back in for pics, one at a time. I also did some more training to the CCOB in the veg and the last 2 CCOBs to get moved to flower. Pic bonanza coming later, after I resize them all and choose the best pics.

Meh, the pic's didn't turn out very good, and I got drunk/stoned and forgot to post an update. I don't care for digging thru old pics to post so I will post updates and pics from today.

Todays updates:

I am in the process of trying to get my first (of hopefully more) patient to have me as their caregiver. I will likely start germ'ing 2 seeds at a time soon, and order a tent, etc, so I can double my flower room.

Round 1 is all in the flower box now and Round 2 is in veg or the process of germ'ing. The last 2 chronic clones went to flower barely a week apart, but that won't matter when it comes to harvest time.

I am hoping that Round 2 will be the start of my truly perpetual system where I germ/harvest 1 or 2 seeds/plants every 12 - 14 days.

I rigged up a new 'Rain Station' in the laundry tubs, so I wouldn't destroy the tiles around the basement floor drain further. 2 x CFL's, upside-down milk crate, and a laundry tub.

Yesterday 3 of the girls in flower got Rain + Supplements and today the other 3 got a similar treatment. This is my own variation of the 'riddlem3' make-it-rain in between feedings, while still adding my supplements that I don't want to mix with my nutes/ferts.

I need to get more gallon jugs for days like these. bongsmilie

In between each feeding of nutrients/fertilizers they get 'rain 5.8 pH' for ~2/3 of their volume. Once the runoff slows they get the remainder of their volume at 5.8 pH with supplements (Botanicare Sweet + SnowStorm Ultra every rain; + Purple Maxx and + Gravity the last 3 and 4 weeks of flower, respectively). Nute's are fed, in between the 'rains' at 6.5 pH.

This will also be where I try to use my Neem Oil spray to knock down my thrip issue with the clones. Hopefully the Neem Oil will be sufficient without having to add LadyBugs to my garden.

looking very good man. all the plants look to be loving life thanks to you and your work.
i noticed when you talked about a perpetual you mentions starting from a seed every time, it will be faster to make clones and it would speed things up. just my input though.

Thx. That was my original plan, and I may start trying to clone again on a small scale (very soon actually, once I sign a patient). I just felt it was easier for me to stay legal with my plant numbers working from seed.

I had 8 clones with roots in an aero-cloner and none of them made it. If a cop had come through my door for some reason I would have been WAY over my limit, depending on how he decides to interpret the law that day.

I am thinking about firing up one of my DWC tubs to try and clone the top from the Wembley (PW) when I top her in a few days.

I just raised my MH light in veg, pushed the babies to the back of the closet, and did a photo shoot for all 6 of the girls from the flower room. Once I upload, resize, and choose the best pictures, I will post them ITT.

what type of laws do you guys have. in oregon it is up to 6 mature plants at one time and 18 seedlings or starts under 1 foot tall and under a foot wide and vegging so all in all we can 24 and 1 and a half pounds dry
