my outdoor medical grow 2010!

its not good to use clear cups..its not good for the roots to see the light. they will turn green. and when the plant gets bigger the roots will start to wrap around the cup

yes i am aware of this, they are now in the ground. lots of room for them to spread their roots:leaf::leaf::leaf::weed::leaf::leaf::leaf:

well doesnt daylight savings change this sunday? even if they do start flowering, they will just re-veg soon anyways right?

LOL, daylight savings doesn't magically tilt the Earth on its axis, causing one day to have one more hour of sunlight compared to the previous day. It's just a simple mechanism to synchronize everyone's watches.

Hello siccmade420-
I'm afraid that you may be wasting your time. You put those girls/boys (they are from seeds) into the ground way to early. I had an over abundance of clones last year and put 6 outside in March. They went straight into flower. I took all the buds (junk) and revegged the plant. They did O.K., but that is not the process to use. Build yourself a small greenhouse, and start your seeds over again. They will understand the days getting longer and longer and veg until July/Aug.
Check my journal out, i'm doing 2 harvests, one in spring and one in fall. I vegged my girls indoor during the winter, turned the lights March 1st to 12/12. Now that the weather is nice, mid to upper 70's, I bring the girls outside about 8:00am - 9:00am, and back inside at 5:00pm. That's 8-9 hours of mother natures sun, and 3-4 hours of PG&E's sun. I will do this for another week or so, depending on weather, then just leave them outside to finish up the last 4 weeks. If the weather turns shitty, I'll just bring them back inside. Low temps are my only concern, rain is no issue, they will be covered on those days. The clones/cuttings and their moms will go outside May 1st, the days will be long, and getting longer for a while. They will understand that they need to grow and get big that time of year.
Good luck with your grow-
TMB

alright so my plants were transplanted outside on March 10, making that 3 weeks in 12/12 being outside. no signs of sex:cuss: will they no longer flower or will it just take more time?:leaf:

they won't go into a full bloom or even bloom because the day light hours are getting longer.

Both these plants were put outside very early!
After the last frost to be more exact.
1 has shown no signs of sex, while the other is half way through flower at >5in.!!
The one that has not shown is a strain developed by a friends family in hawaii for generations. They cross breed it every year with itself.
The other is a cross of my own ( 1 of six or so I'm working on).
These plants are merely a few feet apart, so their environmental conditions are almost exactly the same.

It should be taken into consideration that the strain from Hawaii comes from a place where light cycles year round are near 12/12.

So, in conclusion I assume that it is possible to put them out early depending on the strain's origin and whether or not it's from seed.

ok well i'll keep posting pics every week or so...i've been watering with some homemade compost tea. no signs of sex on any at all so far, but if i see any signs, i'll let u guys know. i also have a quick question, if i wanna buy a couple clones from a local dispensary and plant it outdoors, can i just put it directly in the ground with my soil mix? thanx:bigjoint:

yes, you can put clones straight into the ground. i'm waiting for the rains to stop then i'm gonna get on it. another week or 2 and i should have plants outside.
