Boys and girls please feel free to leave any comments or ask any questions. Here are a few pics of the rough draft. I am giving it a shot to see how well this works. Its running right now as we speak. Temps are going down really nice with both 1000 HPS's im in the low 80's already hopefully I can go as low as 75 with both 1000's I dont think it will be a problem. Tomorrow I am going to put in the finishing touches and play around with my ventalation and exhaust.

I love your grow.
You use the same technique that I do, and remove certain generations of branches when they first appear.
You should work on getting rid of those literally the second they're visible. I use a razor blade and get them super tiny.

LOL, no questions on it, makes perfect sense, fucking love it man. Let me know if there are any issues with drawing a 6" inline on that thing, if not, I'll be doing this quick status, I have a few 15000 BTU units in box laying around. Props, I would rep you if I could.
Yo yo yo wudup joski broski. Sorry bro been real busy man I still owe you that. Im gonna put something together for you. Been on missions bro. Fuckin weather is horrible down here. How you guys lookin??
It's cool man, I've been just as busy. I've been working out my seedling problem pretty well, as soon as I went back to House & Garden my problems went away, I've hit them a few times already with Flora Nova as well and they like that too.
Purp Sour Diesels took a turn for the worst. Well not the worst but to me its horrible. I started these girls off at 300 ppm and started noticing some nute burn and what appeared to be some kind of lock out and salt build up. I thought to myself how the hell is this happening with only 300 ppm's so I pulled back and flushed quick Ive been flushing for a little over a week now plants started to burn up as I fed them a few times before I figured out what had happened.

I got the clones from a buddy of mine who gave them to me in 1 gallon buckets ready to go in soil and all. I have never in my life gottem any clones in soil. Usually always in rockwoll. Thats when it hit me and I never even thought about this while I was diagnosing the problem. So I thought to myself what kind of soil is this? Called my buddy and it happened to be some crappy ass medium with nutes in them already. He said NOOO you cant give it any food you have to wait 10 days before you hit them. Geez yeah thanks for telling me now buddy after they already getting fucked up. I blame myself with my experience I should of known to ask but at least my experience and brain was able to determine what the issue was and treat it quickly. I transplanted right away and flushed the shit out of them again. I believ now they are ready for some food. New growth on them is looking way better. Im glad I was able to save them at least. Also for back up I had taken the 9 clones from them which have all rooted and look beautiful so even if they would of died I would be str8. I plan on just putting these girls to flower soon and just pulling out the most I can from them.

Seedlings on the other hand are looking great! I wish I would of thought about the soil earlier becuase those PSD's would be looking just as good. Growth on the seedlings is awesome! I also have the 2 Gisel clone that are bad ass as well. I plan on making a small area for vegging so I can let the seedlings ride a little longer and throw my clones in there as well. Lets see still undecided but I know for sure I dont want to put the seedlings to bud yet. What do you guys think of the seedlings? Do you think they are good to put to bud? I never really work with small plants you all know me to be a tree and bush guy but I would like to see how more small bushes vs less trees would would out.

Pics coming soon. Sorry you guys can let me know as soon as I post them.

Thanks
I've done that a few times already, with my own soil, that I mixed myself, grrr... It's because I had side-by-side potting mix vs soiless grow and sometimes they would get mixed up depending on how ripe they were and then get feed wrong. Your seedlings, depending on strains, could go in right now and probably end up around 3ft on the stretchy ones, taller if they are lanky, and around 2ft on the shorter ones. You might even end up with a few 4 ft plants. I am too stoned to read the script, lol.

Pics as promised. Here are just a few pics of the PSD lights on. Not the best, I will get some better ones lights out tonight. The new growth on them is nice and green at least so I have some hope for these gals still. I may be flipping them this weekend or monday not sure yet. Trying to get some ready for Christmas time. Now thats what I call Christmas trees lol!!

Bad but not terrible by any means, they'll turn around faster than mine did after my last accidental def/tox fiasco.
I have heard of 4 as well but im not sure you need both. I always use 7 and mine is always on point. Now that you mention it though I am gonna look into this. I will let you know what I find. Pics of ac box coming right up.
Not all meters require both, some specify only 7.01 or 7.00 in the instructions. Others, like mine, require the 7.0 and 4.01 buffers. Usually anything that "Auto Calibrates" like an Oakton will only need the 7.0 buffer.
Here are the seedlings. These little girls are looking serious. The stalks are even thicker than the PSD. I look forward to harvesting these girls. Im thinking about flipping them along with PSD but I may just leave them in the tent or make a wall in the room and divide it for a small veg section and a bloom room. Like I said before Im just not sure if it would be woth it. I know right now I dont have space for so many trees so if I want to flower them all Im gonna have to just keep them small and use some over head lighting.

You can always use 600w vert. Your side branching is fucking incredible dude, that is what I like about your plants best. Mad jealous of it, I need more juice in my tents, I am powering too big of spaces to be using single 400w fixtures anymore, I need at least 600w, but with all that is going on I will temporarily need a 1000w, if not permanently for veg. Or I need a bunch more 125w and 200w CFL's to supplement, maybe LED, I like LED for veg a lot. All it's good for besides blending with HID in flower IMO.

Thanks kev. I am using 6 inch right now although I am considering changing everything around for next time, cool tubes as well. Im planning on going with 8 inch. Anyone currently using 8? Is there a big difference?

Thanks pal. I got some more pics coming soon. The diesels have gotten better and the seedlings which are becoming plants already are looking amazing. They are about 2 feet tall right now and the side branching is amazing. New pics coming soon.

Now this is what Im talking bout! Thanks for your kind words and input bro. I cant wait till you start your own thread I know your gonna murder that shit with all your valuble info and experience.

I am still working on the ac box as I said this was basically a rough draft. I am doing some minor adjustments here and there. The box seems to get to hot and stops cooling so I am going to use a squirrel cage fan to extract the heat from the box and I have some ducting coming from the ac in the room going into the box. The squirrel cage fan will pull the ac and the heat from the box and hopefully keep the unit cool enough. I will post some pics for you all asap. I will keep you updated Jo, Im sure I will make this work.

God dammit. I just typed out 6 paragraphs of gold inspired by your words of encouragement, and I saw a update notice on my computer, I clicked on it to suspend it, and instead of giving me the option of suspending it, it just went ahead and shut down everything without saving and updated itself. God fucking dammit.

Anyways, air conditioning: I think a squirrel cage blower attached to the outside of the unit you built would make a huge difference. Remember, if it is making excessive heat, it is using excessive power. Any time you are stressing electronics you bring it from where it "idles" to it's maximum output. Just like in my old job, we would make TV's in the store as bright and colorful as possible using a setting called "Vivid Mode" and a high end 50" Plasma (Plasma rules btw, fuck LED, unless it's that new Sharp Elite, yes, Sharp is making the new Elite series) errr, anyways, a high end 50" Plasma may draw 394w on Vivid mode, which isn't a power sucker for a 50" but still more than the new standard, you go ahead and put this television on a proper setting made for the home, like "Standard Mode" or "Movie Mode" and the power would drop down to 130w of power consistently, and peak out at about 200w, better than maxing out at 394w and normally pulling 300w. Heat = workload in electronics, and workload = money.

Anyways, I have played with 6" and 8" inline fans: a high quality 6" inline fan can pull 450 cfm at 75w, while a low quality 8" inline fan can pull as low as 550cfm at 150w, not including all the twists and turns in your system. So what I am saying here, as a ground rule, is don't spend a dime unless you are spending it on the best. a 8" high quality fan can easily pull 800cfm at the same 150w, but if you are buying cheap crap, you might as well just buy duct booster to put inbetween your 6" inline fans. a 6" duct booster easily pulls 240 cfm with 30w of power, for 30 dollars.

Going from to a high end 8" inline fan, there is a huge difference in draw and temperature, just make Vortex/Can your minimum standard, and you will do fine. I will get some recommendations from my buddy who tests everything for the local dro store, he has a list of fans that are high velocity and very very quiet, and best of all, have a reliable bearing. Bearings seems to go as fast as the carbon filters do from Hydrofarm, and most people get them replaced every 2 years because they get very loud, buying a high quality fan will help avoid this until it gets near that 5 year mark like printed on its guarantee. All larger fans are going to need more replacing on the bearings. I use a 8" inline fan right now in my room with 6" fixtures and it makes a huge difference over a 6" fan. You absolutely can port 800cfm of air through a 6" tube, no problem, there is not an issue reducing down all your tubing so everything matches up to your 6" cool tubes. The fact that it is 8" just makes everything easy to match up, for both you and the manufacturer, but you don't need to keep it at 8".

Anyways, now that I have moved I need to dumb my garden down from 70 plants to 6 and 12, maybe 12 and 24 since I have a few extra recommendations here. Then I will post a more legal journal for us all to enjoy. Hopefully we upgrade to a 3 bedroom house from this apartment real soon so I can post DIY projects, I fucking love my nail gun. I am letting my grow partners at my old place sort out the males and the weaker "give away" plants, and hopefully after all that we have 30-40 plants to share, which will be more than enough for both of us. After I get rid of some of these exotic varieties and choose which seeds I will be ordering again I will go ahead and start using my own seeds that I breed. I think as of right now though, TGA's Chernobyl and Dairy Queen are staying, Jedi Kush is staying, Sour Diesel is probably going and will come back another time, Rock Lock is going, Diablo OG is going, Blackberry is staying, LA Confidential is undecided, White Berry is staying, Hazy OG is staying and will never leave my side, it might even replace the SFV OG, I need to try the final product though. In the next week or two, I am having a very special delivery of real Fire OG cuts, and some cool cuts and seeds of some other strains I have had my eye on for a long time. Master Kush came down last week, I am done with that, mold resistant my ass.

I hate that shit. Thanks for your input Jo very informative. Sounds like some bad ass strains btw. I cant wait to see that hazy og. I look forward to your thread, I know its gonna be one of the great ones. Thanks for your support pal!

Been working on a bunch of shit lately. Im having trouble with the ac box it does not seem to extract the air fast enough to maintain cool. My squirrel cage fan gets in the 100's easily and the exhaust on that shit and fittings are hot as fuk! Freaking sucks Ive tried everything except an inline fan with more cfm's. Lets see what happens. I need to fix this prob asap so I can drop the other 1000 hps. I still have them running with 1 x 1000 hps and my T5's. Luckily I've been able to maintain the temps lights on, low 80's high 70's. I may just have to go buy a portable if this doesnt work because I need to get that other light in there desperately. I will let you know what the outcome is.

Pics coming right up................

looking good mate try get that light closer to them if you can to stop the strech or do u want them like that pal..
Thanks pal. I actually just raised it a little because I noticed the plants on the outside werent gettin as much light as the 4 in the middle. I hate over head for this exact reason. Im convinced vertical is the way to go. I thought I could give it a shot since I had more plants this round but its a proven fact the vert makes some monsters with crazy side branching. Next round Im going back to what I do best, vertical lighting nd less plant count. I have the t5 really close to the girls since its 4 ft it covers my smaller plants well so I dont have to worry. I also rotate them so they can also get some of the HPS spectrum as well. Overall things looking good. I needed to rush this crop in time for christmas. so I went with the over head and more plants because I didnt have enough time to veg. My next one Im going all in and Im going to veg for at least 1 month and aggressive feeding.

Looks great.
Those pillars of dense bush in the grobags;
I'd recommend pruning some lower buds next time you grow that pheno.

Or if you're interested, I can help you "prune" all that low shit without removing leaves,
and without stressing the plant out much.
But it's complicated.
