Its ironic i hate the fruit but the original spg cut was nice i liked it not seen it in years mind youThanks anthony! I'm really blown away by the initial quality of the light, I think you'd love either of those! I've gotten one of my friends to pop a few of my FDM seeds too, so I'll get pics of any good phenos he finds. He's doing the Sweet Tooth #4 for sure, and I think a few C99 and ESB. I gave him seeds from all their strains that I have, and I think my Indiana Bubblegum Bx2 seeds are probably sitting in my PO BOX right this moment. I wish one of us had room for a few of those right now, I miss that flavor. Indiana Bubblegum is one of the most underrated "elite" strains. I would take it or Sweet Pink Grapefruit over any of the $1,000+$ fotm cuts. Sorry got waaaay off track there lol.
I love the SPG cut too and just recently found someone who has it, but I figure, with all the work put into Swt #4, I should check it out first since I already have the seeds. I heard SPG tends to autoflower if rootbound but that it has been bred out of Swt #4, no idea if that's true or not. I think SPG is one of my top 10 cuts of all time, and actually is probably a top 5 pick for me.Its ironic i hate the fruit but the original spg cut was nice i liked it not seen it in years mind you
Yeah it does auto if rootbound tbh closest in seed i found so far was sweet deep grapefruit by dinafem they goners far as i can tell but i know some folks that used to work for em have set up and or working for others so i hope someone pops up with that line oneday too i think it was spg x blueberry it yielded good nice big dense fruity buds but it tended to lean to the spg more imeI love the SPG cut too and just recently found someone who has it, but I figure, with all the work put into Swt #4, I should check it out first since I already have the seeds. Omg you are totally right about that. I had gotten lax about using my glasses with my bar lights, but the 650R really cranks out some light! First thing i did is dig out my good pair.Love the lights! I had to upgrade my glasses for these diablo boards. Cheapo vivosuns just weren't cutting it!
Their lights are awesome. We just converted to full HLG for veg and flower.Okay, so this plant is exactly 30 inches away from the light at 40% and my lux meter is showing about 23k. The readings from around the tent range from 20-25k lux, so when this light has a little space to work with, you get a very even coverage. I love the HLG 650r at 40% for veg, the growth is incredible and I find myself needing to adjust my nutrients to it quickly to avoid deficiencies. Ideally, I would get these plants healthy again after being so rootbound, plus recover from me tearing the roots up-I should have just cut the sides/bottom with a knife like I do with bonsai moms, but I just went at the root balls with my hands this time, probably not paying as much attention as I should have. I'll spray these with some mild soy hydrolysate to give them a little N boost for stretch.
Problem is, this is the size of plant with 4 colas that I want to try flipping-I want to see how a more compact grow with just 4 main colas does vs my usual method of totally filling up a canopy with bud sites. The idea being that I really don't need the maximum amount of bud for medicine each cycle, and also, limiting the # of colas should give me more space for breeding stuff, like bagging them, moving the plants in and out, etc. With 1.5 gallon air pots and just 4 colas, I'm hoping I can lift them at full flower if I need to move them around. Using less coco will be nice too.
So I'm thinking of giving them one or two days to recover a bit more, then flipping. I'll time things better next time so that I have plants this size, but also their root system fully filling out the pot.
One last comment: I really love the light that this fixture produces, it's a very nice white light. The bar lights also work well, but I think they had more yellow in the spectrum, which I got used to, but I much prefer this spectrum. The HLG light is more of a crisp white and it reminds me a little of my CMH fixture, which I love too. It also feels a bit like HID in terms of the distance from the canopy, which I like because you can really see your entire canopy without hunching over and peering under the massive bar light. So far my impression of this light is 10/10 in all respects.

Next month I'll be getting an HLG 65 to replace my generic 120 watt LED in my 2x2. I'm trying to reduce my electricity use a bit and after seeing how bright my new 650 is, I'm betting the 65 will beat out what I have in there. I'm really digging these lights!
I love to see that lush growth in a 2x2, those look really good!I have a single QB 288 V2 running on an 80 watt driver in my 2x2.
This is my current SOG in there
