Yes! I saw it too but theres only 8 days till we turn them in,
a bunch of us are going to were the petitions get turned in for official counting.
And I really want to be at the BOS meeting when it get dropped it their laps.
I can't wait to hear how they try to squirm out of that!

Check out this crap Shasta county sheriff assaulting petitioner.
URGENT FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS: Stay away from Holiday Market, in Cottonwood, or you will be walking into a very hostile situation. The owner called the sheriff on one of our volunteers, who physically assaulted him & detained him, right in the middle of the volunteer registering someone to vote, and therefore, stopping that registration from being completed.

Then the Board of Stupervisers will a choice.1 Put it to vote with the residents of the county
or 2 Shit can the ordinance.
When we're done then we go after the supervisors with recalls and cannadates we support.

I'd like to see this situation documented - maybe by some film students....???
That could bring Statewide recognition and a groundswell of support.
The War on Drugs has been the longest running civil war in the history of the World
It's probably had one of the highest casualty rates, also.
Only now are 'normal' people escaping the propaganda that has painted cannabis users as criminals.
Articles, documentaries, artistic protest movements....

a single minded, devoted AND mature single issue political party (pressure group).
One of these days a localised injustice, such as what's happening now in Shastia,
will cause a minor rebellion that spreads into a not so minor rebellion.
The counties will fall like dominos
USA will have NO areas where cannabis laws are actively enforced.
The countries that fall under the US sphere of influence
(like Western European nations) will stop their attempts at criminalising users.
Some Western European nations have already reached this conclusion due to economic necessity
the richer countries will be shamed into doing it
for humanitarian reasons.

I just got back from gathering signatures, man some people can be such asses but "Thank you" is all the rise they get from me.
Just from the feeling of the community and how every one acted I'd say we got this.
I met more for than against and all think the county government is way too big for their pants.
