Starting an indoor grow with $40,000 from scratch! Tell me how you would!

But really.... if you think it is as easy as spending however much money to grow a pile of weed you are over-looking the critical part, which is the actual growing part. Ive seen more thatva few guys do all the math - I got 12×12 space...so x number of lights times x number of plants = pile o cash to party with and so on.... as if it is that simple...

For that to happen you have to be able to grow. First. If you cant grow 1 or 4 plants then you are not going to grow 60. Period. So 10×10× 6×6 = 0 in that sense

So i suggest. Learn to grow four four plants. You think that is a waste of time? I dare you to try it. If you can get them to harvest you will see how much work it is... and then youll know if you want to go big or not. Hell, i got 8 plants on the go now and i dread the thought of trimming all the bud when the time comes... sore neck...cramped fingers... fuck....

Or...if youre going to go big to start anyway use some of that 40k to hire and expert to come on site and walk you through shit....trouble shoot when your girls are dying and you dont know why...

And then hope that motherfucker doesnt rob you at harvest time...or doesnt run his mouth so much that somebody else does.... or get some guns...

I think maybe I'm two high to understand why people are giving you shit, but you can probably grow 60 plants for a lot cheaper, I wouldn't recommend the garage, for one I grew up in a city my whole life and one place that always gets broken to is garages,

You asked how I would do a set up, so check it Lets say you have like an 8feetx10feet room, (standard apartment sized room)I'd split it in half with dry wall, paint all the walls a few good coats of flat white, get 2 1000wat hps for flower, and use a good T5 fixture for VEG, and use Flood tables if you want to get away with a first grow with as many plants as you want Flood tables with the SOG method is the way to go, And since your starting off with nutes I would suggest the Lucas method, It's damn near dummy proof for new growers and works excellent for a flood and drain system,

Don't let what these people say discourage you dude, I don't understand why I mean it's your money, you can do whatever you want with it, Growing is for the most part Investing & gambling at the same time, you understand the risk, So give it a shot, just don't buy the most expensive shit because some one convinced you its the best shit around (that's also how you get shitty craft beer!)

read reviews and price shop like a mother fucker! You don't know how many times i buy something on ebay and see it advertise for like 20 dollars cheaper in the "others also purchased" section

Also their is a ton of videos on youtube that can help you tremendously, as you can see the items their using and be more familiar with them so when you walk in to a home depot or hydro store you know what your looking for.

Ohh also theirs this one guy who's video I can't ever seem to find, where he is wearing Green make-up and a Gilligan hat, I learned a lot of shit from his video, everything except the tittle but he does a flood and drain set-up with C02 and he shows you how he split his veg and flower chambers, the video is simply exquisite!

I would use the whole garage scrap the tent idea and use that money to buy some legit LED lights, tarp the garage into a veg room and a flower room, and construct some kind of drying/curing area. Invest in some good ventilation and carbon filters. We're you thinking hydro or soil?

I'm with the guys that say buy yourself a medium to big sized tent and go from there. With the amount of money you have, you can get yourself some grade A equipment, some proper high tech lights and fans, probably a humidifier/dehumidifier etc. You can even get yourself a ready setup (tent + fans + controllers + soil etc.) but that will probably be a little waste of money (they probably charge extra for all the equipment ready in one package), but it saves you from having to calculate all the cfm ratings, watts etc. because they already have everything done for you, BUT if you plan on building a grow room then you absolutely need to understand what is going on. Everything from the duct system to the growing medium needs to be encoded into your system. I don't know if you grew before, but trust the guys here, it's not like your popping a seed into the ground, waiting three months and coming back to a beautuiful fat harvest. It's an art and science.

I have been reading and i am thinking Gorilla tent (10x20) for about 3k. unless someone has any other ideas about brands or tents. with that said I am looking to grow around 60 plants, how do I set it up chronologically that i am maximizing production with plant count and continually and consistently have harvests?

You'll spend a fortune on lighting if you try to use LEDs in that big space.

A guy on another web site that taught me a lot is a commercial grower, and he uses double-ended HPS. I think that or regular HPS is going to be your best bet as far as lighting cost goes.

why LED over HSP?

and im still trying to figure out the best solution for this heat. I hear hydro is cleaner, I was thinking for the first go round soil, but ive read different types of soil TQ so im not sure. your thoughts?
