Storage room Grow OP

So one of my blackjacks is retarted lol.
its growing rele slow and just isnt a champ. so i wanted to use it as a practice dummy for cloning. even tho it has like 2 branches to clone.

so if i had to give the branch a grade its a definate C.

but i tried.
i washed my hands and cleaned all tools and dome.
cut 2 nodes and underneath them at a 45.
put the clone gel into a clean shot glass.
slid it into cube that was watered with bottled water.

im worried that on the inside of the cube the stem isnt making great contact. is that a huge worry?

but heres a pic of the lonley clone

hey guys so 3 days in and we got some wilting???

it seems i can never do this right

Yeah Wish I could help ya. Other then "Be Patient". And I think that when you clone theres power in #'s. So the more clones you have the better the percentage for success. I still havnt been able to successfully clone. Hope you fair better then me. Good Luck, Sending good mojo your way!

Hey do you have a humid dome for the clone? It needs to be humid and moist to start cloneing. From what I heard also a heating pad on low or med will help also. Good luck and learn to get the clone right to keep your grow going I havent clone yet but I'm going to learn from you. Also check out Al b fuct thread on how to harvest every 2 weeks in the hydroponic section. Check this out too https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/15030-batch-clones-rockwool.html
Good luck

well 5 days in and still sbout the same.
i only took one because i did wanna take 2 or three of each and have them all die like last time lol.

im rele prayin this baby clone comes through lol. its wilted but hasnt gone down any further.
last time they were draggin on the floor by now so maybe it could happen.

the pics arent as good this week cuz i dont wanna move the frame up and disturb the lil lady in the dome.

but here ya go definatly got some trees goin

and also i changed my light schedual today to 18/6 is this gonna cause any harm or shock to mothers? i thought itd be good to give them some rest.
and that room looks insane with all the electronics in there. temp, pump, airstone, all lights, power strips, fans, heater, ect i thought i could use the 6 hours of saving money time lol but once again will it hurt changing them over like that?

heres a pic of the new clones

thanks sota.
they do look a lil better!!
i just need to keep um alive :)

plants are about 26 inches and super bushy ( probably rom the 24/0 light)
wont be long now till they go to flower :)

Hey guys,
couple more pics here

i topped the random plant and its lookin awsome, two beautiful tops side by side :)

took some more clones from the shitty plant to practice. its hard tho when your cloning from a slow growing plant. i guess if i do it right a healthy plant shouldnt be a problem. i tried cloning 3 different ways to see what gets the best results. 1 is with powder, 1 with powder cut underwater, 1 in gel, 1 in gel under water, ect. the bottom right one is just gel and it looks the best so we'll see :)

let me know what ya think

so heres somthing interesting.
the three clones on the right were diped in olivias clone gel
while the two on the left were put in water and then into root powder.

the middle clone on the right was not cut at a good 45. the clone on the bottom and top were cut more at a 60 degree angle.

powder ones definatly wilt right away and wont pick up. the gels cut at a 60 are lookin real good. and the gel cut nearly flat is the oldest and has wilted for 6 days but isnt dieing.
hopefully this can help ppl with your cloning method

Good info, So you think the 3 on the right side are going the distance? I couldnt really see the one in the middle but the other 2 on the right are looking healthy.

ya thats what its look like, good eye :)

the healthyier the better for sure. the ones with nodes that are not side by side do better as well.
ill post pics in a few more days and hopefully ill have my first succesful clone :)

so i pulled open a cube today after 5 days and nothing...
:( sad day i just cant get cloning right. it looked as if there was no gel on the stem anymore? does it fade after a few days.
did i open to early i dont think roots would show in a few more days either :(

Yea definitely too early.. not supposed to realy "open" them either..just be patient and wait at least a week probably two and possibly three for them to peak through the cubes..it takes a real pro with an easily rootable strain to get roots in five days

does the gel go away?

im just wondering how it would even root at all.

so there will be no roots at all till around a week. then about another 5 days for them to show?

Pretty much id even say up til two weeks to start and three weeks to show..it doesn'thave to have the gel to root you can take cuttings and stick them in a glass of water for a few weeks and youll probably even end up getting a few to root..or sticking them in soggy dirt..rockwool and the gel just increases your chances/speed/survival rate..the cutting probably absorbed enough of the gel already, but if youre really worried just get some liquid rooting hormone and dilute and then water them with that
