Anyone know of a reason why some buds have rounded tops and some have pointed ones? Most are pointy, but there are a few round like these and they seem to have stretched a little more. Pointy example out of focus to the right.

Fair enough. I have had no problems with doing this. I have seen the dust and stuff that comes off the flowers floating in the water. I have flower a year old that still grinds up smelling fresh and clean. Like I said above it may not help if there is no mildew, but it doesn't hurt. I have no doubt that it would be a rare occurrence to get the mildew problem growing indoors. But to jump in and claim that it will somehow damage the plant is just silly. If you listen to the video, he also explains how it has that curative property of reducing the chance of future 'infection' like on a cut. If you put a band aid on a cut without peroxide, it may not get infected. It may. Why chance it?

I spend 4 months growing something then another month getting it ready to use, I am taking every precaution possible.

Same theory - I use only RO water. I want to be in control of stuff. If I use tap water it might be fine. see the similarity?

I think I have the monster clone thing figgered now. To be honest my only reason for trying this was to learn. I have a single Northern Lights fem seed. I think if I can squirt out flower-clones with good results taking them in veg should be no problem. There will be a SOG in the future :)

The last run I took 4 and one survived.
This run I took 6, 2 didn't root enough to make it to the solo cup. Of the 4, one was just real slow. When I opened it up to see why it had real good roots, but they were just poking out of the sponge still and not growing. I could have probably nursed it along, but that would have just been another hiccup in the schedule.

So the final tally on my second attempt was 50% thriving, and if I was hurting for weed I could have had more.

Long post warning.
EVERYONE SUCKS! YES YOU!!!

Nah, just kidding ;)

Working on grow-room 2.

The challenge is that the intake for the closet already came from that nook on the right.
IMG_7331.JPG
I have about half the stud-space blocked off and sealed, and have the hole in the closet higher than the hole outside to prevent light.
Since I can't suck directly from the new grow room, and I don't want any connection between the two, I came up with this
IMG_7333.JPG
I just stuffed a washable filter over the hole, and have a hinged lid so I can get in to clean it. The baffles are to prevent direct light.
IMG_7332.JPG
I have the vent for the new room in progress - and it will have a similar baffle set-up. Just leaving a hole in the side to shove a filter in, and will probably make a rack that it fits in.
IMG_7334.JPG
And the window which extends back into the 'nook' I just boxed out.
IMG_7336.JPG
I need to finish the vent, make and hang a door, light-proof it, and hang lights and it will be usable. Caulking and a good coat of white paint would make it better, but that would have to wait until harvest, and may... so I am pacing myself ;)

Looking closer. I think I could harvest at any point now and have good weed. Fed her yesterday but that is definitely the last. I think I mentioned it before that I personally can't tell much difference in taste if it is flushed or not. After harvesting a herm with no prep-time and getting good smoke out of it, after it cured there was no harshness, bad taste, etc.

Here's an update on my little project lol

Let me know what you think and any pointers obviously. I enjoy reading your methods and reasonings

man shes getting chunky, hows she looking yield wise compared to past grows?
I broke down and felt one of the tops gently and they feel pretty dense, if that is the case it'll be between 2-3oz dried.

I figure 8 limbs, to get 2oz I need a quarter-bag from each limb. I don't think that'll be a problem ;)

That looks ready to flip for me. If you let it go keep stretching her sideways because that space you have in the middle goes away quick once she starts rollin.

I plan to go back to bigger pots than 3gal. I think that and the lights are the biggest determinant on how big a plant will get - and genetics of the seed obviously. But I also ran out of room to keep stretching mine via the edge of the pot. Once it gets to the edge you have to let it go or get creative.

she flips when the other bunch are done. You think shes fine in the 3g to finish or should i move her to 5gs like her sisters?

My 2x 315s are supposed to be here by tuesday, planning on flowering these space cookies under those lights. once the first run are done and i can rearrange the tent
