Im hoping for 2oz/plant lol

mine arent nearly as chunky as yours tho, i dont think

I think you'll be surprised. I had one middle limb with 2 measly tops on it, and one with 7 tops, 3 are big, and 4 are the size of the small ones on the other limb.

I think Nebula Haze got it wrong on step 2. Just like you evenly split the main trunk, I think you should do the same on the future toppings, So keep either the shoots at node 1 or 3 on the two limbs, but not all 8. For 8 I think it would be better to do 4, then top each of those. That is what I'll have going on my NL, while I play with the contest plants.

And they say getting a gram per watt is amazing, if you have a full square meter of plant. I think I got close to that, considering that she was only about 1.5 feet across.
About 1/3 of a sq meter,
86g projected, times 3 is 252 from a 260w light.

Probably be a wake-n-bake thing with extra coffee to do the manicure. Anything that was crispy got trimmed, and I snipped every leaf stem I could find. But there is still plenty to trim. some will dry and shrink, but some will stay green looking and fold around the buds it you let them go. Slows the drying and allows the chance of some funk starting.

And the octuplets that came from them were all within 10 grams of each other in wet weight. This was 80g cured from one plant Dried to from 9-11g per limb.

I didn't run bubble hash, and might not. I like the dry keif for decarbing to make budder, and the wet stuff gets gummy.

My compromise it that I rum the dry sift across the screen until I don't get much return, then put it in the freezer for a last ice-water run.

Thanks, and welcome! Yeah, once I found the manifold thing I have been trying different things with it. I think simpler may be better. For the contest I was thinking about crazy pruning techniques with the manifold, but I am going to try a 4-top instead, Then based on the time left in the contest I might top those 4 if they have time to grow some before I have to flip.

I trimmed up one limb. What is weird is that the tops weren't in the progression you see up the limb. The middle was obviously the top, but the 2 medium sized ones were lower on the stem, and the little ones were the ones close to the top (hidden from light)

In the past I have obsessed over keeping the limbs whole. This time everything will end up on trays.

I'm done playing for the evening. I think they can hang for a day or so, then I'll hit the bowl trimmer and fine-tune the tops by hand.

Looking good m8 do you think a longer vegging time to get the stems taller after you get the 8 would make a difference for the weight

I think - that in a 3 gallon pot, it will make 3oz LOL

I'm sure it would get you more bud, but the question is, is it worth it? Every extra week of veg is a week added to the harvest date. I think it also is about pot-size and what the roots can do - more space - more plant. For all of mine so far, I have flipped as soon as it has good shoot growth after the last pruning. That is one reason I am thinking 4-top, more plants, small pots, quicker flip. Easier to manage in the same small space.

  1. This is an old post from my thread. ;)

    Ok we have this opportunity to further understand how the BBT technique will workout with an indica, Star Dawg, in a 3g airpot. Being a strong indica, she'z a good candidate for exemplifying the process. I've found that indica'z recover and branch more willingly than sativa'z, which isn't a surprise.

    She'z been in the bloom tent a few day'z now and finally starting to grow, so......................


    I made 6 snip's.......


    From these 6 snips I'll get 6 more tops and remember the lower accelerates growth attempting to catch the top branch, i.e. Auxin shifting which promotes branching. Done properly you end up with an even canopy. This is after and you can't even tell where I snipped her at........

    A Closer Look At Previous BBT Snip'z......

    If you catch them at just the right moment the top branch will actually wait until the lower branch starts to grow, eventually catching up and growing together, thus creating a "Y", i.e. branching.......


    Each "Y" represents a bbt snip....

    And that'z how we get this.........

    Tis funny, I can reach under and shake one branch and see how many budzzzz have formed on one branch from beach ball topping. I'll take pix tomorrow on 5thD~Phat, basically she'z 3 mainbranches like Star Dawg is 4 but looks like 4 plants in a one 3g pot.

    I know I'm rambling and this possibly won't make no sense to anyone but me but if your really trying to understand please ask me cause it might helpme too.

Normally I'm a lazy prick and rarely do any snips. But with a 6 in veg and two mature limit I have to maximize yields
