No. Going from veg bloom to athena to jacks no noticeable change in yeild or flavor. Last line that I ran that I thought really gave me quality and was not just hype was nectar. But it's to dense for dwc so I had 2 switch. If I was in soil I would still use their stuff. Also nectar is one of the most expensive lines.Any difference in taste ?
Very true. For the uneducated tho that means faster more vigorous veg growth... not a shorter flower timeStudies on tomatoes have shown 20-30% faster growth grown hydrooponically vs. soil. No reason cannabis would be any different.
Salt-based nutes provide a consistent and controllable nutrient supply, unlike soil.
Same here . Outdoors is organic just have to fence things to keep critters from digging things up . Indoor it's much easier and cleaner using something like Jack's or GH .If I was growing outdoors, sure organic all day. But I don't want all that in my home. I prefer my environments sterile as possible.
it's like that joke about Vegans:I think a vocal minority of organic growers are pretentious as fuck
With salts its easier to get it down right imo as your feeding the plant directly vs using micros and stuff to feed your plants to each to there own on this one but i prefer organics for taste id say organically grown in good soil/compost is hard to beat next best in my opinion is organic coco done right you can obviously grow nice weed with salts of course you can its personal choice and down to your skill like with anything i guess and i would say if your growing at scale organics is easier and cheaper for sure that aint just for weed either try running a plant nursery with both see what you choose in the end also i aint gonna guilt trip people who use chemical fertilisers vs organics as i aint smoking your weed do what you want we just differ in viewpoints this issue/debate is almost as controversial as flushing with growers ime it usually just turns to argumentsAnybody here grow synthetic? Seems like most ppl these days are leaning towards organic but I know there's still plenty who still use the liquid bottles..if you do let us know the reason.. better results? Easier?
The problem I have is lots of false statements like soil being easier and better at scale, if that were true every commercial grow wouldn't be using soilless. Organics are not cheaper by any means and are more prone to individualized issue and pests due to abundance of living matter. With salts its easier to get it down right imo as your feeding the plant directly vs using micros and stuff to feed your plants to each to there own on this one but i prefer organics for taste id say organically grown in good soil/compost is hard to beat next best in my opinion is organic coco done right you can obviously grow nice weed with salts of course you can its personal choice and down to your skill like with anything i guess and i would say if your growing at scale organics is easier and cheaper for sure that aint just for weed either try running a plant nursery with both see what you choose in the end also i aint gonna guilt trip people who use chemical fertilisers vs organics as i aint smoking your weed do what you want we just differ in viewpoints this issue/debate is almost as controversial as flushing with growers ime it usually just turns to arguments
Agree to disagree mate i aint gonna argue with you you present some points that may have merit however i strongly disagree with plenty you have said for a start your making broad assumptions on heavy metal contents would that not stand to reason that it depend on the soil used and your inputs obviously some things gonna test way higher than others yes cannabis is an accumulator i think everyone knows that its why we plant it around places like Chernobyl also look at food farming for example so many big farms run salts because it take work to get the soil back into good condition cos they used synthetic fertilisers for so long there soils wrecked no micros no life so they continue using it look at the state of texas i dont think years of big ag using salts helped that dustbowl situation any we aint gonna agree i guess man btw i didnt say i wont smoke synthetic weed if its grew well and someone passes me a joint of it il hit it but imo i know what i prefer i was meaning more people online on this forum unless i actually know you outside of here i aint smoking your weed am i so do what u will with it its your weedThe problem I have is lots of false statements like soil being easier and better at scale, if that were true every commercial grow wouldn't be using soilless. Why wouldn't you smoke chemical fertilizer grown weed? Plants take up nutrients from the soil or growing medium in the form of ions, regardless of whether those nutrients originated from chemical or organic sources. The plant's metabolism does not differentiate between the sources of nutrients.
Also, weed grown in soil and organic tends to have a much higher heavy metal content in the final product due to it being organic and not being able to be processed and refined, which can actually create a clear argument that organics are not safer or cleaner than synthetic fertilizer.
I don't want to argue with you, just I'm trying to hopefully clear any misunderstandings you may have with the two growing styles.
