I use Super Starter Cubes, which are easy to keep moist with a tsp or eye dropper. You can still use the cups/soil mix, but this should minimize the amount of water needed while maxing the moisture the seedlings need
Yep everyone's technique may vary as long as it works I see no problem in that.............I'm totally stealing your FD with lava rocks idea/ love it:)

Nirvana Auto's Good Luck.I Have Tried Many Different Ways And Methods Of Germanation. Here's What Has Proven To Be 100 Percent Idiot Proof.Wet A Paper Towel Fold In 1/4 Place Seeds In The Middle Place Wet Paper Towel In Zip Lock Bag Leave An End Open And Place In A Dark Place.Mine's In My Sock Drawer .Here's Pic's Of Two Seed That Were Started 24 Hours Ago.

DAY 12...............#1002.jpg003.jpg..............................................#2004.jpg005.jpg........little happier/still look retarted;-)..............The co2 "seemed" to help so i will continue it for now...........panel at 15 inches/growth phase (23w).......gonna water them later today, maybe adjust the ph with phosphoric acid/not sure yet..........

Nirvana responded to my email:
"Hello Psuagrower
Yes you can flower under 24 hours of light, but we recommend a 20/4 light schedule for greatest success with our auto's. Yes we have stabilized the auto flowering characteristics in our genetics, so it shouldn't be a problem.

P.S. Stop badmouthing us on the other forums, your issues are not because of our genetics.

Helpdesk"

Damn should have registered under a different name(gave too many specifics):) So im gonna cut the light to 20/4, will help my temp issues during the day(lights off 12-4pm)
001.jpg006.jpgbe safe and I can't find my spider.............

I would think they all stop by sooner or later. Except most of the Chinese panel makers who can't, (or won't), make it through the Great Firewall.

And one day I got to start a post asking why the "cannabis industry has such thin skin". Except Barney's Farm who take more shit than any seed company it seems. Then again they did create Tangerine Dream so they deserve all the shit they get. LOL

DAY 13......................#1004.jpg005.jpg Holy shit!!!! #3 decides to join!/ guess I was stoned and put two seeds in this pot and not the other, I have never seen this before.... 19 days(5/25) after being planted, she breaks through:othe cocco mix must have brought the seeds together/ lol I was misting a spot with no seed for ten days in the wrong pot.......wow I need to cut back my smoking..........well sorry girl/ im killing you, no space and to far behind, makes sense why #1 has been slower than #2 now(too close for comfort).............nature proves again that it has no rules........

#2......002.jpg003.jpg yeah root structure has set and is stable................Co2/co candle enrichment is working rather well and both have been water with aerated tap(no adjustment).....yes i'm a stubborn fuck:)

001.jpg...........#3 RIP bitch(again!)............see yah on the other side:fire:..........ha/ be safe and happy growing

Yeah I went on holiday and got caught up in the beautiful weather and kind of fell off the face of the earth for a few weeks. I didn't realize I had been gone so long. Just updated my journal real fast explaining this. Now I just have to play catch-up with all these threads I've missed out on! But.... I'm back! :eyesmoke:

Good call PSU

My whole F & D technique begins with germed seeds into Super Starter Cubes (cut in half) and inserted into a small net pots. These are placed into 1.5" pvc couplers which are then inserted into
a small Rubbermaid Roughneck- think large show box, The water/nutes are heavily oxygenated via my 15L/m bubbler with 4 large Oxystones.

The high amount of moist rich oxygenated water produces rapid rooting. Once I have ~ golf ball size root mass I transfer the whole net pot into a small Air Pot. I in fill with small lava rock + hydroton on the top 1-2".

At this stage you probably want to flood the tray without spraying the plants. Once the main stem gets hardy you can go to the Bellagio Technique. You could do BT earlier but turn the holes away from the plants. Probably still get the benefit of the rainforest type humidity that small plants love.

At ~ 10-12" I put this AP into a larger AP, in filling the space between with lava rock- avoiding transplant shock

Can't wait to post new pics Friday.

Let me know if you have any questions

Am thinking to do a thread on it alone

I'd put clear plastic cups over the seedlings (with 1 or 2 holes) and spray gently inside cups with water. They need humidity?

Your results speaks for itself..........I say bravo and + rep for ingenuity Pet................

My condolences to you on poor #3 and your brain cells.
Yes we had a moment of silence before the small burial in my trashcan...........who knows what she could have become(tear)ha......

Yeah, was told this by a few good RIU members and finally caved (check the last page/ you'll see a large metal pot with 5 inches of water/ little dishsoap in case a gnat wants a drink;-)) .............raised the Rh from mid fifties to mid sixties in the sealed room.........You think I should up a jumper phase at this point?????

No you don't need to for a while... Try and get your Rh up to the 80's. I'd have it in the 80's for a week and then lower it to 50's - 60's.

The 80's really?? I haven't grown from seed in awhile but that seems too high...........Their is already very slow evaporation rates with led lights, this just seems wrong to me, your just asking for pm, root rot IMO/ no offense.........Thanks

Point 1. I edited my F & D post regarding my technique. It should have been 1.5" pvc couplers

Point 2. Yes higher humidity during early veg is vg. My high wall F & D holds humidity after each Bellagio Water show. Once the plants grow above the walls the humidity is no longer needed as the plant is close to flipping

I ALWAYS appreciate advice.....................But I come from the school of thought that too low rh is always better than too high rh......:

Too high rh creates numerous issues that lead to death........

Too low rh creates an environment that may slow growth/ and it will still grow(no death).....

My opinion, take it as you will..............be safe/ happy growing....:)
