Thc Garden

I am hoping to get them trichs to around 20-25% amber. since they will probably change a little more during the drying/curing phase. I didnt realize that about the pistils I knew the final verdict lied with the trichs but i thought pistils where a good indicator it was near once they started turning orange which i guess they are i just have to watch and see if they seem to be acting differently ill check. I prolly shouldnt hae put the molasses in my aerogarden since now its kinda floating on top and my ph went up to 6.9 from 6.2 where i had it. I might give it another day then drain the res and start fresh with no molasses. although the resin production seems to have increased alot in the last 2 days this baby is coated with tiny trichs. any how yep thats that. This sucker smells like grapefruit so much. btw hows your fruit coming along?

btw I have some fan leafs on my vk that have 11 leafs on it. awesome.

No, you're a fruit coming along! lol

My autofruity is looking pretty good, she is developing her second set of leaves and is very happy outside. In 8 days she is getting transplanted into a 4 gal container, I wanna see if I can get her the 1m height that was advertised.

I forgot to tell you, without low res temps molasses does crazy stuff with pH. It's not very stable. Tip for molasses: Heat up a mug of water for a few minutes in the microwave and mix the molasses into that before letting it cool and adding it to your reservoir. Molasses is a lot more soluble with heat, otherwise it just sits on the top of the bottom of your res and slowly dissolves into a film up top. You can try Sweet Raw or Sugar Daddy, they are mineral extracts of molasses. I really like the flavor I got this round from the Carboload. These products have a stable pH.

I recommend trying to use your carbohydrates to your advantage when pH adjusting. It is important to know what raises and lowers pH before adding any buffers to the water. 90% of the time I get away with a perfect pH with no buffers. Because I understand my nutrients, I can use them to adjust each other, rather than using a harsh buffer with a bunch of extra sodium in it. So my pH rarely goes off balance, even if it's been a few days. I don't think I've seen it outside the 5.5-6.5 grow zone this year.

But the pistils are a good indicator, but I do not recommend putting your faith in that. Lol, I have a SFV outside in week 2 of flower that already has 3-4 brown pistils on each cola. Once you familiar with your strains, then the pistils are a much better indicator, and I suggest still using them to guide your microscope, but keep your faith in a grow calendar. I believe all your plants take between 60-70 days in flower, besides our auto tootyfruity.

I wish I had more auto seeds, they do so well outside, even as seedlings. I think next years outdoor crop (or possibly a late cold season crop) will be a specialty crop of only ruderalis outside. On that note, my outdoor crop is looking good. I have 3 SFV's, all in different stages of growth, 2 Blue Dream, and the autoqueer, of course. I am trying to find another sunny portion of the yard I could put 6 more with another medical recommendation outside, but my backyard is very secluded from all the trees, which gives me privacy, but no sunlight. I need to trim them up and get a nice balance... But I have so many cool seeds I want to try out!

Your lucky to be able to grow outside. my yard is nothing but trees and even if the state is kinda funny about growing outside they only want you to use a green house. I have never had any ph problem with the floranova every single time i add it in my ph is always 6.0 even after a week in the res its still siting at 6.0 I will try the heated mug with the molasses because its a film on top so what your saying makes complete sense now. these where sprouted at june 6 so they should be done any where from august 5 to august 15. Im hoping. I wanna try some of that blue dream i been hearing alot of good things about it.

ok done. I was looking at that blackstrap molasses but it did not say unsulphered so just to be safe i got the grandmas. It will have to work for now since im kinda broke.

blackstrap is not unsulphured, but that is great for plants. Plants need sulfur, and I have seen a deficiency before, and it's like a nitrogen deficiency on crack! But seriously, you are so unlikely to have that happen to you. Freak accident during my first few weeks of playing with organics. I've used Grandma's before with a normal fertilizer program and it is fantastic. Sweet sticky buds.

But when you are making your own fertilizers, you can't just add everything you like, you have to add everything the plant likes. Lesson hard learned.

However, the organic buds are fucking AMAZING. I've been knocking the dispensaries on their asses with my buds already, but this new batch is going to send people to the hospital, it's fucking devastatingly potent! I've never smoked such smooth or tasty pot. And this easily rivals the best buds in cali, and I've had my hands in an award winner already, and this smokes it.

God damn, so stoned, rambling. And this is only the first week in the jars, I can't wait to taste it a few months from now.

Hell yea. That is the whole reason I wanna go organic. My next grow im gonna go completly organic. I had to kinda skim the top of the aerogarden and get most of that film out. my ph was at 7.3 last night so i did a res change with fresh 6.0 fertalizer water. there is still some film floating around but its hard to get in the aerogarden since i have the top taped up for light leaks and only way is throu the front hatch. anyhow. Ill have to start studying up on how to make some organics. I know i can use guano to make a tea but im sure other stuff has to go in as well.

FloraNova actually affects plants like organics would, but it isn't too much of a substitute. It smokes most mineral fertilizers, absolutely, but I guess it is all about what you are good with. I like the FloraNova a lot, I liked my House & Garden a lot, but these organics are blowing my mind and it is sooooooo easy and cheap! Not to mention fun, it's like a whole 'nother hobby! What is the res temp in the aero garden? It might just be too hot for molasses.

Blue Dream is great, I have some under a scrog right now (did I already say that? lol) and it is a true stellar performer! I believe it is clone only though, so you need someone to bring one out from Cali, the Motherland of bomb buds. Blue Dream is easily one of the top 3 buds being produced in cali right now, production wise, not quality wise. Quality is great, really fun high, but eeeeevvvveryone grows it out here. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't escape having blue dream clones being thrown at me at one point, but I'm soo glad I did, it's a real champion and likes anything you got to give. Awesome genetics, grows like a weed.

I love growing out doors so far, but a greenhouse would be nice if I could put one up without raising suspicion, and have the extra cash. It keeps out rain and bugs. So that means no caterpillars, no aphids, no moths, and no mold... at least that is the plan. lol

Filled up a brand new 4x4 tent with 12 freshly transplanted seedlings. Looks pretty good. For right now the lighting set up is a little nutty, but I'll get it straightened out soon enough.

I'll give you my formula a little bit later for organics, half of it is in the tea, the other half is in the soiless mix I amend. The large majority is Earthworm Castings, Guano, and Kelp, but there is a lot more.

Ive been hearing alot about the clone only strains in cali., I just watered my plants with straight ph'd water. did a full inspection for herms. non so far. and cleaned out all the dead or dying leafs. pretty much i got the bottom 4 inches of the plant cleaned out. time for a bong hit now.

I am always on the look out for the cali cut-only strains. For a long time I have been on the look out for the Arcata E32 Wreck, and the original Trainwreck cut. But you have a better chance of finding AJ's Cut (East Coast Sour Diesel) in Michigan, and that is the true creme de la creme of cut-only strains. Banana OG is another cut only strain from Cali, I don't think that has caught on with the rest of the US yet, but I've had it tested at 25.7% THCA. Super-mega ultra bomb. My SFV OG f3 is cut only now as well.

Organics is nice but u have to fight bugs alittle but more, a few people throw sand on top of there organic soils so the bugs cant live in it...But for taste u def want organics...I have 2 K-Trains going now its a cross between the OG kush and OG trainwreck

man that white rhino is far ahead of all the others. they all got buds starting but that one is got double and triple in size. I wanna get a trainwreck going. I always see purple wreck clones. og kush is on my list for the next grow. Im not to worried about bugs I keep my house clean and i never go in my grow room without sterile cloths on. or fresh out the dryer cloths. i know they are still possible with taking all precautions but yea i heard of the sand on top thing. I was thinking of adding some hydroton on top of my soil to help hold the moisture in.

I was gonna run coco this time. but the guy at the shop told me I need nutrients specific to coco since it is so sterile. He wanted me to buy the canna coco line up and it looks nice but it was quite pricy. I dont think you need perlite in coco but i might be wrong.

I have actually had much much less insects since switching to organics. It's all about farming with micro life, instead of putting in a bunch of awesome organic fertilizers. Predators help too, most of my organics are outside, but everything inside and out has the most insane army of bacteria, fungi, and other microbes you have ever heard of! And those do a great job of keeping away bugs and disease. I have to spray down my plants less than ever, it is great! And the beneficial life also continuously feed my plants, even if there is next to no food left in the mix. I also am constantly feeding these microbes with a super-deluxe EWT. I haven't needed sand for organics yet, just my plants on a mineral formula, lol.

I guess it comes down to how you learn. Some people are turned on by the aspect of free fertilizer, I was turned on by the aspect of being able to create a super colony of life, which then gave my plants better free food than I can buy, IMO.

And purple wreck is awesome, 45-55 days to harvest with CO2 enrichment, same with any Trainwreck that sticks true to it's genetics.

Don't worry about the 45 minutes.

You guys are depressing me with all your stain lust. Whenever I want OG, I walk around the corner and go pick up OG clones, when I want something purple, I call up a buddy and I get some brought over, I want some cannabis competition winners, I make a few phone calls to see what is in stock. The MMJ market here in SoCal is so fucking ridiculous, almost nothing is out of my reach (besides AJ's Cut, arrrgghhhh!!). If I want the last pack of Original Sour Diesel seeds by CaliConnection in the fucking world for sale, I drive the next city over and pick up the last pack anybody has in stock. Fucking awesome... I did that btw. lol.

I think I might start a journal today, I got all sorts of cool stuff and projects going on right now. New stuff being put up, old stuff being taken down and rebuilt.

Now, gentleman, if you'll excuse me, I am going to go smoke on the dankest SFV OG in history. ALL HAIL ORGANICS

lol strain lust. For some reason i thought i poped that fruit in june. I was just checking out my calander and it was may 19th. Im prolly gonna let it go a week or two more but the trichs are turning amber fairly fast. going to straight water tomorrow maybe depends on how i feel about it. I would say up to 7 % amber now. In the scope i was seeing 3-4 ambers outa maybe 50 or 60 now its closer to 6-7 so who knows. I dont wanna let my thc degrade but i wanna let my buds fatten up since most of my pistils are still white i think they could get a little fatter with some of those dying off.

Is it in just molasses and water right now? You can use a flushing agent if you want a faster flush, and it comes out really good, but never as good or smooth as a long carb rich flush.
