The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

This is my fear about dealing with Alibaba and overseas shipments. There is no telling who's fault it is as nobody knows if this got broken before or during shipment. That said it should be taken care of swiftly by the shipper and not put on the receivers shoulders to deal with. In the end the buyer paid good money for a product and shipping but received a broken product. I have heard many boast about Alibaba and Meijiu so hopefully they do what is right and sort this out. With all the folks who speak highly of them as a cheaper alternative I would hope this is just a one off and they show good customer service to the buyer.

So don’t buy from them then lol. I’ve had 20 orders all arrived perfect and fast and all my lights are still going strong.

I am happy to hear that, one bad situation does not kill a companies reputation. Sadly your successful orders are no help the the guy who has problems with his order. I look forward to hearing they fixed this issue. I for one would think nobody wants to hear bad things about a cheaper source for lighting, we all want them to be a good stable source for equipment who stand behind their product. It is not in any growers best interests to lose a source for cheaper lights. I have heard many great things from people like you about these lights, I hope that track record continues.

Terrible reviews never stopped you from spamming the forum with 5 posts in a row to get free lights from one of the worst company’s in the industry though

LOL, I like free stuff, don't you? 5 different topics in 5 different threads is not really spam but feel free to call it what you want. Glad to know someone is keeping such a close eye on little old me.

So other then the delay in shipping it seems this is UPS fault and not Meijiu’s?

I’m sure it will all get sorted with Meijiu, as for the shipping times and costs that goes for anything and everything you order currently from overseas.
No given the quality control issues, and stuff not adding up with the damage supposedly related to shipping, I'd say Meijiu dropped the ball on this one. Doesn't mean they aren't good... I just always seem to have something go wrong lol.

I have experience with both meijiu and kingbrite,,, but surely kingbrite are trustworthy. I have bad boards in hand, kingbrite send me a new board at once, and pay the shipping, but meijiu ask me to refund from alibaba, they don't want to pay the shipping.

I tried to contact King Brite about making a custom order for roughly 30 480 watt lights. Using 301 b 90 CRI 3000K diodes. They weren't interested and definitely were not willing to come close to meijiu pricing. They simply turned me down and said there is a global diode shortage

If youre worried about stretch: get 3500k and use the uv switch in vegg. 4mm heatsink: like standard 550 clone. 10mm heatsink: it would be 10 with the fins. Dont worry too much about the options. Keep calm, carry on, and grow some weed.

The space and spread in generall: 480s arent ideal, better off with more singles or doubles. You need about 1200-1300 watts for that space. Maybe 6 doubles, slightly dimmed would be better and cheaper as i can not make that space work with less than 4 x 480s and thats a fair bit of over kill but would work aswell. Price out the options.

But as stated here several times: the red+uv boards arent allways ideal, both in price and spread: personally i prefer white boards (in 90 cri if possible but they almost never have) and then add some red and blue/uv strips, that way you can adjust independently and also do end of day treatment with far reds/IR. Also, building part of it yourself, getting spread and framing right for your space gives you a much better sense of accomplishment. Its scary but all of us had to dive in the first time.

If you really care about growing like a pro get High lights, sponsors here on the forum. I can almost guarantee they will do better than any baba board. They beat out hlg, but you might have to get some extra blue for anti stretch in veg.

Should I dim the light on my HLG-120H-54A if so how do I do not by lowering the voltage, how, sorry guys
Do you need to dim the driver? What kind of board are you running with it?

You have a “A” series driver so there are two screws on it under the little rubber plugs, one that says “IO” which adjusts the current and one that says “VO” which adjusts voltage.

I just came here to find out if these china specials really work, I only need an oz a month and my trusty $100 hps 600w has provided but Ive had many problems over summer due to heat, so thats my only interest in LED and based on this thread I ordered 2 lights both 480W one for a backup.
So thanks to all posters for the good info.
Rock on.
