The Main-Lining Thread

im shocked at how good this mainlining is just threw browsing the pcitures an nugbuckets own how to guide on this impressive growing method.

But has anyone had any good results trying to mainling Kaia Kush type seeds? im only asking as i found out some of the seeds i got a while back are not autos an that rang the bell of possible mainlining training on them to pop me curiousity about mainlining cherry.
Cataract Kush, similar in nature to Kaia (I`ve also grown it). Shouldn`t be bad for you, just more bush to remove as you go. Feel free to follow the journal for more :)

oh im definitly subbing to your catract kush diary no worries there mate. anything close to KK beans is better than nothing at all to use as a follow guide along side the tons of info nugbucket poured into this thread. im very greatful.

Whats goodie Nugs and everyone. First off let me introduce myself by saying I have successfully read through the entire main-lining thread that has become a glaring success, and I cant even begin to thank Nugs and everyone who has contributed so much valuable information, and has shared countless techniques, strategies, and priceless lessons learned. It is because of this thread and Nugs philosophy on organic living, sharing, and caring that prompted me to pursue Plant & Soil Sciences in my degree of study, and hopefully become a successful contributor to the world of horticulture, as Nugs and many of you have already accomplished.

Now on to the juicy stuff. After countless hours of research and study, I am finally starting my first attempt at main-lining. Now I am not an extremely experienced grower, as this is only my fifth grow. Due to my living situation, I am unable to grow outside as I wish, and am currently limited to my 3x3 GrowLabs Tent, which limits my ability to grow regular seeds and sex them. Also being my first time, I decided to go with feminized seeds from White Label Seeds, which is a sub-division of Sensi Seeds. I have concluded that they have great genetics, and are one of the better alternatives to TGA gear, as I cannot grow regular seeds currently. Any information regarding experience with White Label gear or any others that worked well with main-lining would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, I am going to be using Subcools SS recipie, and am thinking about ordering the SS fertilizer pack if anyone has any comments or experience with that. Im going to be running two 135 watt Blackstar UFO LEDs, and have access to 400 watt HPS and other supplemental CFL lighting if necessary. Now that you guys have the basic set up on to my main question.

I cant decide if I want to grow two 8 headers in the normal 7 gallons, or do something along the lines of when Nugs experimented with cutting the 22 gallon pot down to like 11 or 12 and growing a 16 headed monster when he was growing in his indoor cab, testing the limited hight. For some reason I didnt bookmark the page and cant find it haha, but I know read it somewhere. I believe Nugs tried this to experiment with the overall height in his limited space without effecting yield, but I am not really tight in hight space. I am more concerned with the 3x3 footprint, and remembered when Nugs trimmed the height of an obvious outdoor pot to limit the maximum growing height of the plant, to obviously fit in his indoor cab. I was wondering what Nugs and everyone thinks about the idea of trimming down the biggest size pot that will fit that footprint, in order to limit the ending maximum growing height to fit in the 6 foot tent, and growing a 16 headed monster, as opposed to squeezing to 8 headed 7 gallon pots. I know Nugs has tried this in his box, but has anyone experimented with this in a tent? I remember reading some math about how the maximum growing height relates to gallon size, and I feel like if I can trim down the maximum sized pot that will fit in the 3x3 footprint to a gallon size that will produce a 45 to 50 inch, 16 headed monster, It will be better than two crammed sevens. Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

Once again, I would just like to thank Nugs for sharing everything he knows, and everyone else who has contributed so much information to this epic thread. I have attached some pictures for reference.

Subcool didn't start the thread.

Subcool isn't going to profit or gain more internet fame because of the thread.

I'm surprised it ever made it to sticky status.

Im trying out the mainline technique for the first time as well as super soil for the first time. My base soil is Roots. Im currently vegging in plain Roots while feeding only water. I see no deficiencies, but growth seems to be slow despite my environment being in check. Shoud I be feeding more than just plain water even though plants are healthy?

Mainlining added a couple of weeks to my veg (which is actually a good thing for my perpetual garden), so it's probably not your imagination. No, you don't want to feed them. If the soil is compacting or you're getting channels down the sides of the pots, top dress it with some more Roots, but that's it.

I'm also doing a mainlined supersoil grow for the first time (I was formerly doing scrog in a homebrew organic soil mix. So far, supersoil is performing better than my old one).

Said it a long time ago, game changer nugs.

Not to mention, wtf is up with this 'supersoil'? Way too complicated, in the sense that there's no need for all that bullshit. More brainwashing. Jesus.

Peace. Next paragraph goes first. Fix your website too too. Teenager could do better programmimg and development.

Well, was a fun 30 minutes back after a few months. Prefer grasscity's hostility to guberment style (corruption?)

if you take requests sm00thship then my request is why dont you GTFO. you dont have to use all the helpful stuff on sites an fourms. because its all here for them who DO wish to better they growing experince. if you just wanna sound like a speech being done by a 90 year old tony blair, then fuck off back to that crap fourm. an take your sexless disses with you.

an a final suggestion to you, dont come back unless you have some R-E-S-P-E-C-T in that brain of your chump.

so can I main line a chem 4 clone outdoors? Or is it too late to start now. its only about 6 inches tall now and i topped it a week ago and now has two main top nodes and 3 littler nodes growing off the sides. Should I just cut off the littler nodes and begin the main lining process?

You still have plenty of time. It needs at least 5 good nodes before you top it for the first time.

Wait until it is at least this big (maybe even one nod taller) then cut her at line number 2:

Cheers,
Mo

i would cut it at line 4 or you will seriously stunt the plant.
