That's the main reason for using solo cups for your seedlings, it's much easier to control watering...DAY 29: the bigger plants seem to be doing okay but the seedling are not moving. It always happens this way if I don’t put a dome on. Even with the humidity at 34%. Don’t know why everyone says not to but it is clear for whatever reason seedling in my house need at least 1 week of humidity domes going on and off before anything happens.
No I haven’t actually. I should try to find the meter that came with my tent. Not really sure how good it will work though. I have some calibration solution but it is from 3 years ago so not really sure. I guess if the reading on the meter is close to the amount on the bottle i will assume it is fairly accurate.Have you ever checked your ppm's ?
Cheers
I just checked the ppm and it looks to be at approximately 660 after diluting the autopot tank so it must have been around 1200 ppm before diluting. Seems like i should dilute it a bit more to get it around 500-600 but not really sure.Have you ever checked your ppm's ?
Cheers
At that age and size 5-600 sounds reasonable.I just checked the ppm and it looks to be at approximately 660 after diluting the autopot tank so it must have been around 1200 ppm before diluting. Seems like i should dilute it a bit more to get it around 500-600 but not really sure.
Thanks for the response. Yea i am going to try and get it down to 550 or so. As for the rain i believe that the temperature may not be constant but in my experience plants don’t seem to grow really quick at the beginning if they are left alone with the rain water. If i am not mistaking seedlings prefer warmer water and temperature for quick root formation. I am looking to get them started and rooted as quick as possible so I am hoping that it helped. I was watering the seedlings that grew fast with warmer water although it might have just been the smaller container but i think it was a mixture of both of those things. At that age and size 5-600 sounds reasonable.
Give them a day or so and see how they look. Nice and green and praying, spot on.
Then I will slowly increase the amount until I see slightly brown tips on the leaves. Stop there for a while
Cheers
PS > I doubt if that temperature difference in your water made a difference. In nature is the rain always a constant temperature ?
68F is optimal watering temperature. Thanks for the response. Yea i am going to try and get it down to 550 or so. No I don’t got an air stone. I heard that they can cause the ph to go out of whack. I actually gave them a little stir to take the ppm and will probably stir it up every few days.68F is optimal watering temperature.
I don't see an air stone in your reservoir ? Helps to keep the nutrients from settling to the bottom.
