I think he's on a mission for Mitch, to keep Donald on side and from destroying the republican party, until it's too late and he's indicted and at least muzzled. If he turns on them on the way down, they will be in trouble and he will rip them apart in panic on the way down grasping at straws and throwing bodies under the bus. He has threatened to walk his base out of the party and when upon going to prison, he will strand them in the wilderness, or in a third party under the control of his family. If the GOP lose just 10% of their base nationally they are screwed. You might say a third party has no chance in America and you would be right, but the point is to try and get out of prison and grift money, not power and Donald is stupid enough to try, but not nearly rich enough, unless he can find a rich fascist sucker like Elon.

So Lindsey and some southern politicians keeping Trump close also help keep him in line. If they rejected him completely, he would turn on all of them not just Mitch, Donald sill has a large amount of support with the republican base. He is not as mighty as he was before, but he can still hurt them very badly and keep them out of power and once that happens the democrats will finish them off with legislative changes like HR1, new states etc. So Lindsey's job is to blow Donald if required to keep him onside and make all the right noises while doing it. He's become the infant handler, first he was Herschel's handler and now he's Trump's.

The only problem with your analysis is that you seem to imply that trump respect mrs lindey or anyone else on the planet. trump does what trump thinks is best for trump, when he thinks it's best to do it, and the only reason the gop comes into the question at all is that he wants it's resources to pay his legal bills. Otherwise, he couldn't give a flying fuck about the party or anyone in it. If he cared about the party, he wouldn't trash the members that don't kiss his pasty orange ass in public.

Of course he doesn't care about the party, but Lindsey has a talent for ass kissing and needs to keep him from attacking them all. It's all transactional, Trump needs the republicans to help him face his mountain of legal woes and they need him to STFU and go down quietly! I'm serious, if the house members don't die on the courthouse steps for him during his trial, it will be game over for them, if Donald is running around unmuzzled and has access to social media, even by proxy.

if i was mcconnell (fuck that's a scary thought) i wouldn't give one fuck about what trump does on the way down...they want to get rid of him and his magats, what better way than throwing them under the bus, and owning it? that would give the gop the enema it needs to keep on existing as a legitimate political party, and not as a freak show bent on turning America into a fascist state.
publicly disowning the sedition carcass would grant mcconnell more legitimacy than he's had since they nominated trump 7 years ago

They need to dispose of Donald carefully and figure Jack will do it for them. Jack might also take care of some magats in the house, but Mitch would be worried, if he should go near the senate and a few of them come to mind over J6. So if he takes down republican congress people eventually, he might also go for the likes of Ron Johnson and others. Ron is from a swing state with no guarantee a republican would replace him in a special election.

As for Lindsey's roll in all this, "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer", another one of Stalin's mottos they live by.

I'm surprised it's taken this long to see these tactics employed,England famously duped the German recon flights w/ a fake buildup prior to D-Day. It can be effective in giving false intell. about intentions and also can cause wasted employment of munitions.It'd be nice if Ukraine had dummy electric grid components,fake new substation construction sites.

The 4 tanks equals the number of abrams the US is sending per capita. She seemed a little overly defensive in the video you posted - which tends to only invite complaints - but her arguments are not unreasonable.

NL had almost a 1000 tanks at some point, when there was still a wall separating us from the crazy part of Europe including Russia. We sold all in 2011, then regretted it in 2014. We now lease 18 leopards from Germany and are discussing to buy them and send them all to Ukraine. The division of 100 Dutch + 300 Germans and many experts are opposing that potential decision because in addition to all the knowledge required, operating and maintaining them is a skill that continuously needs sharpening. No tanks means no trained tank division meaning nobody ready to be deployed for whatever (when NATO needs them). Point is, her training angle isn't bs. If you look at the number of Leopards available in Europe, it makes no sense to send 80 from Canada while committing 4 on a such a short notice does serve the purpose of having a large alliance of countries sending tanks.

We could maintain a training corps, assuming we would buy leopard replacements, however the tanks we already have in Europe and many of those in Canada could go. Unlike you, we are unlikely to be attacked by Russia and they would be useless here if Uncle Sam should go nuts again. We should be able to give Ukraine 40 tanks at least, perhaps 60 or more, if America back fills our NATO commitments in Europe where M1s are more easily used than leopards. In any case Vlad is at the point where he won't be attacking anybody else for a long time, least of all Europe. Since they are fighting for their lives in Ukraine and are likely to be utterly destroyed there.

Here in US automotive lease-return inspections are notorious for surcharging the customer for every little defect that sometimes the customer never noticed.
I’m imagining some uptight German doing same with the tanks and appending a hefty bill to the renewal.
