Ukraine will get an air force, just not right now, the Pentagon figures they don't need it right now and the air environment over the battlefield is too dangerous for manned aircraft anyway, as the Russians are finding out and why they have been grounded themselves. It will be down to trenches armor, artillery and drones for recon and close air support. If it was at all safe to fly there, they would be laying on old C130s for internal transport and airborne operations. Landing a hundred troops and light vehicles miles behind enemy lines on highways at night to cause havoc and picking them up somewhere else on a dark highway with night vision, in they go onto the ramp and hold on tight while they lift off!
I didn't think the A10s were in such rough shape, thought they were gonna upgrade them, but modern planes with logistics support would be best. I figure the Pentagon is taking a very fucking keen interest in this war, they trained for it their entire careers and have Russia by the balls without a drop of American blood spilled. They and Joe not only won't let Ukraine lose, but their objective is also the complete destruction of Russian military power by strangling and bleeding the fuckers white. The die has been cast in DC and now in Europe, if they don't find Jesus and leave, they will see him if the fairytale is true. Vlad is all in Ukraine, and there are credible reports that he has over 90% of his military in Ukraine now, he is trapped there politically and by his ego.
Once they divide the south and destroy the Kerch bridge, whatever the Russians have west of them and in Crimea will stay there and run out of fuel there. The point now is to destroy Russia's ability to project power onto its neighbors and its military power is almost gone, soon to be followed by its economy and perhaps political trouble of one kind or another. The crimes against humanity and war crimes will make sure the sanctions stay on after the war and the money currently frozen is seized and given to the Ukrainians after due international process. They need to do this to maintain confidence in foreign currency reserves, it can only be taken after due process for very serious crimes.
