Iranian supplied drone? Will Trump shit on the troops who died? Suckers and losers? How about praising how smart the Iranians are?

First on CNN: Three US troops killed in drone attack in Jordan, at least two dozen injured

Three US Army soldiers were killed and at least two dozen service members were injured in a drone attack overnight on a small US outpost in Jordan, US officials told CNN, marking the first time US troops have been killed by enemy fire in the Middle East since the beginning of the Gaza war.

The killing of three Americans at Tower 22 in Jordan near the border with Syria is a significant escalation of an already-precarious situation in the Middle East. Officials said the drone was fired by Iran-backed militants and appeared to come from Syria.

US Central Command confirmed in a statement on Sunday that three service members were killed and 25 injured in a one-way drone attack that “impacted at a base in northeast Jordan.”

As of Friday, there had been more than 158 attacks on US and coalition forces in Iraq and Syria, though officials have described the constant volley of drones, rockets, and missiles as unsuccessful as they have frequently not caused serious injury or damage to infrastructure.

It’s unclear why air defenses failed to intercept the drone, which appears to be the first known attack on Tower 22 since attacks on US and coalition forces began on October 17. US forces at the outpost are there as part of an advise-and-assist mission with Jordan.

US officials have repeatedly said they do not want to see the increasingly high tensions across the Middle East broaden into a regional war. Asked last week whether the Pentagon assessed that Iranian proxies were stepping up their attacks on US forces, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said, “Not necessarily, no.”

In a previously recorded interview with ABC News that aired Sunday morning, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown said part of the US’ work is to “make sure as things have happened in the Middle East is not to have the conflict broaden.”

Yep, Donald is a real ally of Putin, forcing the west to seize just some of their money that we have under our control or can have. With what Europe is giving, $300 billion will go a long way, maybe right up until the election or until Trump is dealt with at least. He will worry less about Ukraine and more about a looming prison cell soon enough. The magats have a limited attention span and Trump's troubles will hopefully consume them.

After Trump is convicted in DC this summer hopefully, the GOP house will shut down the government, if it can, over a Trump pardon, right in the run up to an election, Donald will insist and attack anybody who resists.

Do unto others as they have done unto you

They don't need much of a payload to light up one of those places and cutting off cellphone service is a dead giveaway. The Ukrainians are using cellphone data dongles to FPV drones the final few miles at low level too, though latency and data rates are an issue it is usable. Saw it used in the RC plane world years ago on YouTube, had a link for the kit and complete instructions. Have the drone GPS navigate near the target and have it call home via cellphone when it reaches a certain point.

Has the added benefit of making them shut down cell service for an entire city too.

For example:

Biden is now under serious pressure to respond,My guess is that the Iranian ship in the Red sea will see the bottom soon, and that will be buttressed by pretty unrelenting air/cruise missile assaults on all Iranian proxies in Iraq/Syria/and Yemen. It is also possible that some coastal Iranian infrastructure or oil platforms in the gulf may also get whacked.A second Carrier Strike group will be on the way to the region pronto. A USN attack sub may go after the Iranian ship in the Red Sea w/a torpedo attack to mix things up and change the dynamic. A cyber incident may occur in Iran, all in all much thought must be given or a war w/Iran may accompany the run up to the election which we really DON'T need. The US has to avoid sending a lot of manpower/assets to the region,so a full tilt confrontation needs to be avoided, not do to fear of Iran, but more so that the geo-political situation is unstable. There are many potential opportunists on the sidelines that may see a window if the US has a large amount of capabilities tied up in the Middle East. It has been stated that the Ayatollah's don't want a full scale war,it has to be communicated to them at the highest levels after the US responds that their actions are not matching their intent. The way events have been playing out I feel strongly that if the US gets dragged into anything approaching a full scale conflict somebody out there will try to use the distraction to advantage, not to mention the Ukraine/Russia issue receeding more into the background.

They won't let Vlad win, no matter what happens with American politics. Europe is rearming for the future, but for now it will help Ukraine to destroy as much of the remaining Russian military as possible and hopefully drive them from Ukraine. Russia will continue to bleed until they leave all of Ukraine and they must be driven out, with or without American help. Many of the economies in the EU are a lot bigger than Russia's, plus a lot of smaller economies that all add up and there are other allies too. Like Japan awakened America with Pearl Harbor, this has awakened Europe, and they might as well have the Ukrainians deal with the Russians for them since they seem to be doing such a good job on a tight budget.

Yep, ya can FPV via cellphone connections and even Wi-Fi routers in a city, especially when Ukrainian agents might have put special ones around that turn on as required and are more powerful transmitters and receivers. Then when GPS delivers the drone near to the target it automatically switches to FPV mode and GPS and other jamming can be ignored and very low-level flight is possible too. Just a cheap cell data dongle or a Wi-Fi transceiver is required along with a flight control computer, even an Arduino that can handle it, even a $20 RC radio receiver can be installed for takeoff and the mode switched to autonomous after climb out. This is not some out of reach technology but civilian, hobbyist and can be mass produced easily if required.

This is why the Russians are shutting down cell and even internet service in major cities and it must be pissing a lot of Russians off. I can't see it being legal to do, but there are YouTube videos and products being sold, they might want to think about that.
