Every image of an Il-76 loading shows longitudinal clamshell doors and a ramp at the rear.Is it me but doesn't it look like the front of the plane flies off (is this the one where the front swings up to be loaded?)?
Patriot or their own SAM is the only question really, the POW line was complete bullshit.Every image of an Il-76 loading shows longitudinal clamshell doors and a ramp at the rear.
It sure does look like some or all of the fuselage ahead of the wings came off. Shame NTSB isn’t involved; they’d release their findings.
I ran out to get some meds before they closed so I did not have time to look it up. Maybe there were S-300's aboard. If I knew the plane was going down I would toss out the back whatever I could. Not to say the missile could not have blew off the nose of the plane.Every image of an Il-76 loading shows longitudinal clamshell doors and a ramp at the rear.

It was likely a SAM, it just took off and was at low altitude and there are reports they might have fucked up, looks like it hit the cockpit on climb out a few of minutes after takeoff, makes the source likely local and close. What SAM batteries were in Russia long the flight path? Could Ukraine have spoofed them into launching on their own plane? Might important people have been onboard, not POWs, that makes no sense and is contradicted by some direct evidence? The SAM cloud did not look to be at high altitude from the video, nor was the descent long.I ran out to get some meds before they closed so I did not have time to look it up. Yeah I’m not sure what happened there. Maybe they’ll tell us.I ran out to get some meds before they closed so I did not have time to look it up. Maybe there were S-300's aboard. For Russians to launch on their own plane, I don’t think any Ukrainian deception is needed. I remember reading that a lot of conscripts use drugs to soften the military experience. It was likely a SAM, it just took off and was at low altitude and there are reports they might have fucked up, looks like it hit the cockpit on climb out a few of minutes after takeoff, makes the source likely local and close. Thanks Victor, you FKN dickhead, wish NATO had appropriate language to expel members in its Constitution and send you packing, the Swedes and Finns are great assets for NATO. The Gripen would be a excellent compadre w/the F-16,it's easier to maintain and can operate in rougher conditions and it can probably join the fray in 50% of the time it has taken the F-16 to be deployed in Ukraine.A decent # of Gripens and F-16's will give Ukraine some capabilities they could could only of dreamed of at the outset of this war.I just hope the cunning and resourceful traits they have displayed hold true in their basing and dispersal of these jets so they can't be taken out on the ground, they are finite resources.A message to Moscow, you can't win and won't, a message to America too, we are prepared to deal with Russia even with Trump in power. Just in case Joe doesn't dispose of them before the election by coming through on some goodies. There is a shortage of artillery ammo, so this time the idea might be to use missiles and airpower to cut the logistics far in the rear and keep the pressure on some fronts until they crack from lack of supply and starvation. The allies might provide the missiles and planes to do this. At the rate the Russians are losing airpower and AA defenses, as well as having to deploy them in Russia will make it safer for Ukrainian airpower when it does arrive. Meanwhile the Russian army grows weaker not stronger, it is filled with discontented conscripts who are untrained poorly equipped and treated like shit, as it keeps losing tanks and other irreplaceable equipment. Most of their ammunition stockpiles are gone and I saw reports that the failure rate for North Korean ammunition was as high as 80%.
Perfect for Ukraine, they are designed to operate off highways with mobile support, hard to find and hard to hit on the ground.
The Ukrainians admitted they hit it.It was likely a SAM, it just took off and was at low altitude and there are reports they might have fucked up, looks like it hit the cockpit on climb out a few of minutes after takeoff, makes the source likely local and close. I was sure that it would not have got stuck or flipped over but I still could not help thinking an unforeseen hiccup might have. A set of rubber tracks on the wheels might be in order for less favorable terrain.
