What’s up, organic heads! Any of you still around?

    Let’s talk about plant size

Bam’s answers made sense to me. They were keyed to my questions. Whatever… I was just saying let’s talk about gardening instead of bickering.

    Let’s talk about plant size

Let’s not play that game here, dude… If it ain’t offensive, just move on.

    Let’s talk about plant size

What’s up, everyone? I’ve always thought one of the neatest things about cannabis is how incredibly adaptable it is to different growing environments and gardening styles. I can’t think of a single other crop that’s produced in such a variety of different ways… Anyway, I’m hoping to focus in...

    Do you only grow weed?

All kinds of fruits and veggies growing here.

Happy Frog users - how long do the nutes last?

HF is pretty light on the nutrients. I’d start adding very light/mellow feeds (or top dressing) soon after they settle in and you start seeing new growth.

Do i feed every time i water

It depends… I’ve been feeding with every watering while my plants are doing their initial flowering stretch, but I’m using mellow organic nutrients (fish hydrolysate, kelp, etc) that have little risk of burning my plants. I’m feeding my soil rather than feeding nutrients that are immediately...

    Best pump sprayer?

Yup. I’ve got a Meyer lemon with some leaf miners that could use a nice dose of spinosid… And we never have great luck growing peaches because they always get peach leaf curl. I need some peaches in my life, so I’m gonna give it another try once I’m armed with the proper tools. I look forward to...

    SpicySativa’s Outdoor Experiments

Another quick update… Things are moving along nicely. Got some thrips trying to get at ‘em, but alternating neem and spinosid is keeping them in check. I’ve seen thrips in the landscaping and blackberries around the yard, so it’s no wonder that they stumbled on my cannabis garden. Hudson...

PM in late flower. Best organic solution?

It’s also sold as Bi-Carb Old Fashioned fungicide (made by Monterey). Potassium bicarbonate has many uses outside of agriculture. If you can’t find one of the brand name products I mentioned, you can probably pick up potassium bicarbonate powder at a vitamin/supplement shop. You’d just need to...

PM in late flower. Best organic solution?

Green Cure (potassium bicarbonate) is what you want. It’s completely non-toxic and it works if you keep up with it (spray thoroughly every 5-7 days). If you mix it at full strength it will turn your pistils brown, but let’s be realistic - your pistils will be brown anyway once the herb is dry...

    Best pump sprayer?

I’m sold. Just ordered one. My cannabis garden isn’t huge, but I’ll also need to dose the veggie garden and landscaping that surrounds it to get any pests that are waiting on the sidelines…

    Best pump sprayer?

Hudson users…. Do they do a decent job of spraying everything in the tank, or do you end up having some in the bottom that you have to toss? I’ll only need to mix up a liter or so of solution each time, so hopefully it’ll be able to spray down to the last drop.

    Best pump sprayer?

That paint sprayer is a great idea! A bit overkill for my current garden, though…

    Best pump sprayer?

I’ve had a couple Chapin sprayers. They were better than some I’ve tried, but still didn’t give me the fine mist/fog I’m looking for. Thinking I’ll just hold out until payday then buy a Hudson fogger. I watched a few videos of the Hudson and I’m sold… I like how the air pressure seems to lift...

    Best pump sprayer?

Yeah… It’s kinda looking like I just need to spring for a Hudson fogger. What’s another $160, anyway?

    Best pump sprayer?

What’s up, everyone. Can anyone recommend the best pump sprayer out there for my weekly preventative sprays? I don’t need a large volume (a gallon or less should do it). I just need one that will give me a nice fine mist/fog spray and last a long time. I haven’t had great luck with the cheap...

Best strains for Northern California outdoor?

No shit. I knew he had some health problems but didn’t hear the news. I grew Querkle, Cheese Quake, Space Queen, and several others back in the day in my little “medicine cabinets” (400 to 1200 watt home-built creations. Here’s some of my Cheese Quake just before harvest. It was really tasty.

    Friend or Foe?

If you don’t already do this, I suggest dusting your soil/mulch with diatomaceous earth. Thrips spend part of their lives in the soil, and the DE will help get them as they come and go.

    SpicySativa’s Outdoor Experiments

They’re really starting to bush up, and the first tiny hints of flowering are starting to show. I’ll do a little more LST later today when I get off work, just to expose as many budsites as possible to direct sun. They’re small, but they sure do look happy. :)
