Where do the volatile substances go as they off-gas inside the cooler? Are they filtered out with some kind of charcoal deal? Or, does running one of these in a basement end up smelling up the entire house? And does this also happen every time the door is opened?

I actually DID also do a slurry test, too, and it confirmed the runoff test. I extracted some soil from the inner portion of the root ball via, mixed it with distilled water and allowed it to settle. Yours seems to be a different model light...or maybe an earlier version? The red diodes are laid out differently on yours.
