    Why hate sellers?

I think that when the incentives becomes too powerful, many people will try to cut corners, ignore ethics, minimize their efforts and maximize their personal gain. That's true for growing, business, sports, politics and every other field of life. There were, and still are plenty of examples for...

Off Grid Solar (PV) to 12v LED

Indoor growing is only cost efficient in places where climate is extremely hostile, and/or there aren't enough light hours in a day, and/or it is heavily urban area with no agricultural lands and logistical difficulties to transport produce from such lands, and/or energy is carbon neutral and...

Off Grid Solar (PV) to 12v LED

Not making any assumptions or ignoring anything. The sunlight is free and orders of magnitude better quality than indoor lighting. Exactly. So you want him to invest several thousands of dollars, and use more area, to produce a poor substitute for something he can get for free. None of...

Off Grid Solar (PV) to 12v LED

Putting up solar panels to use the sun > to make electricity > to make light > to grow plants, is terribly wasteful and inefficient. If you have a ridiculous amount of space, and a ridiculous amount of money it might be a fun experiment. Not cost effective by any means, especially when compared...

Well, this sucks... Gotta shorten my veg :/

The difference is how often you have to water. For some people it's enough, for convenience reasons.

Now that you mention it, after every time I visit my Jewish friends I can't find my gun anywhere... Sneaky Jews...

the jews want to steal your guns and freedom

I just love how the person who made this didn't even know that Israel and the US were fighting on the same side in the Gulf War :D

attitude went above and beyond to make it right

Again, I don't understand what you mean by "no way to get in touch". They have a customer support system on the website. I made several big orders there for a friend who was too afraid to order seeds to his place (illegal state) and one of the freebies I was eligible for was missing, I opened a...

Hello justugh, I was going through some threads and I saw you are an owner of a MyDX? I would love to hear about your long term impressions, and if you ever compared it to independent lab testing? Many thanks in advance! D.

    TESTING LAB SCAM??

The question is always what are we measuring and to what end. Relying on tests to tell you which buds are "good" buds, is completely meaningless. All we can get is a numerical value which represent a certain amount of a given substance in a sample, within a defined margin of error. This data...

    TESTING LAB SCAM??

I know that a similar device used for cancer testing from breath (you breathe into a tube and the machine can analyze the molecules and find cancer biomarkers) just recently got FDA-approved, so the technology exists. Whether or not it can fit into such a small form factor, and sell for $800...

Do people usually wash their bud?

You are correct. Even though chlorophyll is water soluble, you will not get any significant amount of it when you just rinse. The best indicator for the presence of chlorophyll in a solution is the color- if it's green, then it's there :)

    TESTING LAB SCAM??

A very interesting device, I read the white paper and even though I'm skeptical it wasn't complete nonsense, I give the benefit of the doubt. I would like to read their patent application, see an independent comparison to GCMS, and hear experiences of several independent growers before...

    TESTING LAB SCAM??

Well, actually for gas chromatography mass-spec you need to dry the sample completely anyway, it doesn't skew the results because all samples are prepared identically. On the other hand For HPLC-MS the samples will be suspended in solution. You can argue about the accuracy of the tests, or the...

Do people usually wash their bud?

For small grows I have seen people doing it with the lemon juice, and it didn't affect smell or potency. I helped my friend to harvest once, and trust me, after you see the crap floating in that water, you would want to wash yours too... For commercial growers and big grows it's too much work...

Please can someone tell me if this is bud Rott?

@Dylanfurlong, Read about the connection of trichomes color and cannabinoids here: http://rollitup.org/t/trichomes-harvesting.516184/ TLDR: Amber trichomes contain degraded THC --> CBN. CBN represents a loss of 90% potency (from THC). CBN is not desirable in any harvest, since it not only...

Carbon for filters; Are there differences in Quality?

Activated carbon is activated carbon. What you care about is grain size. Too large will not be effective, too small and your fan will not be able to pull air through. 2mm is what considered good.
