Here are my oldest girls, under a pair of 400w. They are a little over five weeks in flower. Train Wreck on the outsides, Moby Dick in the middle. They were vegged for eight weeks under CFL's. The closeup is Moby Dick, she's going to be finishing a couple weeks faster than the TW, I think.

I have a pair of 400w in a room that's 8x7x8. I draw air in through the floor from my dining room (temps in that room stay between 65F-70F year round) and exhaust the hot air into the next room over. Temps when the lights are on average between 75F-80F. I can tell you though that smell probably...

Looking good. Generally unless they are showing a deficiency, you don't start nutes until they are three weeks of age. Then start out with about 1/4 strength and work up from there.

That is one tall plant! Have you thought about maybe getting an old vanity fixture, and mounting it on the wall with three or four more CFL's maybe?

Honestly, I think you'll be happier with the larger space to flower in, so I would have to vote for the extra room.

I'll second bullshit. If anything, I think doing that would increase your drying time, since the plant would soak up more water.

Yep, you always want to remove whatever you're useing for a humidity dome, as soon as the seedling breaks the surface.

No offense meant, 400Whps, I just noticed the OP stated a time or two that he or she had X amount of watts for their grow, and wanted to let them know the lowdown on watts vs lumens. I have nothing against floros - personally, I use a tube for my seedlings the first week, and I veg with CFL's...

I don't have that one, but I have two of their 400w. Yes, you'll need good ventillation with that, especially if you plan on using it in a small closet. I'd recommend getting a cooltube for it.

The type of lighting is more important. For example: 150w CFL = 7900 lumens 150w HPS = 16000 lumens The watts are exactly the same. They don't count. You can have 1000w of lighting, and if it isn't in the correct spectrum or if it doesn't put out enough lumens, it doesn't matter.
