The HLG 260 is an excellent light, but it won't out out as much light as a 600 watt HID. With top bin LED (which is what HLG uses) I'd recomment about 350 to 400 watts to truly replace a 600 watt HID setup. You may not even need that much though depending on how big the tent is. A good range...
Let me save you all the trouble of having to read any of his future posts. This is how they all go.
CODEE_420TWAT: Hey bros, i got this problem with my grow. What should i do?
Well Meaning Member: well it does looks like you may have some issues. Possible overwatering. Could you tell us...
Here is an idea. Everyone in this thread, and i mean EVERYONE, should block him. Hit that ignore button. He is just going to keep treating everyone like trash and then crying on some new thread about his grow being fucked up. He deserves no help. None. Hopefully, if he continiues to be a...
He does this in every thread. Asks questions about really basic shit, people try to help, he gets mad and insults people.
Too little knowledge + shitty attitude = 7 grams a plant.
I'm a well meaning person by nature, but at this point I'm kind if rooting for a mite infestation.
I believe he said it was a 400 rather than a 600. A 400 in a 4x4 is a bit under powered imo, but i generally agree that newer growers shouldn't be trying to light up the universe before they learn the basics.
Don't ask him for citations to back up his 'science'. He almost never does, and when he does, the citation usually doesn't even mean what he thinks it does. He just likes to say the word science before he has verbal diarrhea so the uninformed will be more likely to believe him.
Oooh look! People discussing the pros and cons of their assorted make believe friends! How fun! Can we talk about the smurfs that live in my basement next?
Wtf? You doubt the existence or my immortal basement smurfs??!? HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE WORD MADE BLUE FLESH?
You all are just...
It's always interesting to think about how totally divergent humans are in their beliefs and how different their perception of and reaction to discussions like these are as a result.
Coco and dwc/rdwc are all technically hydroponic methods, but during veg dwc/rdwc has always kicked coco's ass in my experience. The rate of growth during veg in rdwc is damn near alarming if you've got everything dialed in.
The big 'windows' are for passive air intake and viewing, the larger round holes are for the ducting of your active extraction/intake system (inline fan and carbon filter for extraction), and the very small holes are for cords and anything else you need to run into or out of the tent.
