Mars Hydro 300w or Viparspectra 300w

Codee is correct. Actual watts at the wall is what you want to be paying attention to. All the cheap chinese grow light manufactures live to label their products as a 1000 watts plus, when in reality its typically a few hundred watts of actual power. Actual watts and the spectrum are what...

    First time grower

I definitely approve of your decision not to use the first light you posted about. Did a little research and it is inefficient and runs hot compared to the high end COBs, QBs, samsung strips etc... the second light you posted looks a lot better but i haven't looked into that ine closely yet...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Already posted this pic on this very thread many pages ago. This bud was within 12" of my 288 @135 watts for at least the last 3 weeks of flower.... no bleaching.

    Can’t diagnose the problem

I had the same thing happen the first time i made my own. Oddly enough, nothing really worked to fix the problem, but eventually the plants seemed to stabilize and ended up being a nice grow.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I was at 14 inches or less for the entirety of flowering for my last 2 grows. 288 @ 135w.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

This is simply not true. I run my 288 at 135 watts and i routinely get within 12 inches from the canopy.

A Look into The Future! The Real Deal!

So basically, if i ramble incoherently about disparate and irrelevant concepts, invent logically inconsistent premises in an attempt to narratively link those concepts, and then draw wildly speculative conclusions with no causal relationship or basis in reality, I too can be heralded as a sage...

    Major defoliation = brown leaves

I'm guessing that between the stress of heavy pruning and the reduced biomass that resulted, your plant is experiencing nutrient burn. Can you post any pics?

    Major defoliation = brown leaves

Why would you cut a bunch of leaves off of a healthy plant?

    Flood table missed feeding! Help

To clarify.... clawing, cupping, drooping and twisting will tend to revert to normal once you get everything back to optimal, but fading, chlorosis, crispy etc will not recover. Pics would help. Losing a bunch of fan leaves always sucks, but if you have enough leaves left on the colas and...

    Flood table missed feeding! Help

Damaged leaves will stay damaged. If they are just droopy they may perk up if you can get everything in order, but anything thats faded, crispy or otherwise damaged will remain as they are.

Picked up a used tent and lights on trade.

Also, very definitely take @CobKits advice and thoroughly clean and sterilize the tent before you start. You don't want to risk somebody elses mildew or fungal spores messing up your grow.

Picked up a used tent and lights on trade.

The other option is to get a 260 but don't fill the tent until you could get more light. If you just grew in a 2.5 x 2.5 or a 3 x 3 area in middle of your 4 x 4 tent the 260 would do very well

    Help with lightning

This. I've gone as low as 20 watts per square foot in the past and did not like the results. From my experience with my HLG QBs, 35 watts/sq ft seems to be the sweet spot.
