So if your at a good level of nutrients the ppm shouldn't go down too much? But if you don't have enough nutrients the ppm will go down because their absorbing all they can? am i getting that right?

Obviously I need a ppm meter. (which I just received in the mail) but I often see people measuring their nutrients in ppm. But how exactly do you get that number? Im feeding in late flower and after adding my bloom and my calmag, my ppm's measured at about 650. My water straight from the tap...

For my soil grows I've been using GH maxi series, which seems to be doing just fine as far as I can tell. Is that suitable for dwc? My local hydro place didn't recommend dry nutes for dwc. He recommended a water based nutrient coupled with a silica and an enzyme. But I don't really know what...

Should have mentioned that it will be a dwc set up, so watering won't be an issue. I'll be making individual scrogs and bolting them to the lids

But doesn't a stand alone screen make res changes and adding water a bitch? You have to reset everything each time wouldn't you? A scrog that attached to the lid sounded a little more user friendly

are you sure about that? I heard dry nutes are a bad idea for hydro because they have more salts than liquid.

Air cooling is a waste of PAR for that bulb. Go open hood or bare bulb. Alternatively if you don't care for the cheap hoods (like myself) find an air cooled hood you can remove the glass from.

Even if they are good, why would you put faith into a company that will try to tell you that you need more than 10 bottles. It's marketed overpriced hoopla.

I planned on running a DWC, (4) 5gallon res. Is the one I posted not enough for 5 gallons? I've seen that some of the other ones are pretty powerful, but the noise and heat they give off concerns me.

actually there was one last thing I almost forgot about. The clones I get come in cups of coco. Is there a safe way to remove most of that coco for I can place these into my netpots?

I actually get top shelf phenos in the form of clones from a friend. I dont want to worry about males and all that. even with the "feminized seeds" crap.

I was looking at the different commercial pumps but I have concerns over volume and temperature. A lot of people said that not only are the recommended pump (such as the ecoplus) loud, but they also get quite hot. Which would be pumping warm air into your res. Not good. I was thinking about this...

I was thinking 4 as well. But some other people were telling me that I could probably fill the 4x4 with just 2. Sounds tough to me. Do you know the simplest way I could make a scrog? I saw anon emaus made his somehow with some simple pvc fittings. But its got me wondering you do you res changes...

Well i think i've got just about everything I want to do dialed in. my last issue is just how many plants to run. A couple people have suggested 2, but that just seems like a very small number.
