I dont fully understand. 4-12 inches in total plant growth? scroging a 4 inch plant? that would be super small o.O and all of this is just for the purpose of uniformity?
I would be interested in making one similar to what you have there. How high up do you want it? obviously thats subjective to the person. do you just make it as high as you want it for your canopy? or is there a suggested height?
The reason im not going with a double as most people use it is because #1 i think that putting glass over a hood in a small grow is stupid, and 2 I have no reliable source of intake nearby. I can't cut into another room, and I dont think that taking intake from outside is a good idea.
area is roughly 4x4 maybe 5x5 depending on how i space them. In about a 10x10ish bedroom. but i'm probably going to go down in number of plants when i switch to hydro in the fall. Right now i've got 9 in a bedroom under a 600watt.
so rigging some thing near the hood with flexible is helpful...
with just 2?! really??? I'd prefer to do recirculating, but everything I read makes it sound very complicated, i suppose I just dont understand it. So i was just going to go with standalones. are you sure about 2? are we talking huge veg times here? I can get a little impatient sometimes :/ I...
I could. but I dont like cool tubes. they are a cheap fix to an issue and create bad light patterns and hot spots. The point was to keep the hood open. I would be removing the glass from the hood.
I wasn't sure because I planned on using this as an open reflector. it is my intention to remove...
A few come as punch outs. but all the ones that I have seen are ridiculously high priced, and always 8 inches. Which makes my diy job a bit more of a pain. But I think im slowly coming to the realization that it may just be better to exhaust as i currently have it and buy a standard open hood. I...
to be a little more basic, i want a hood with optional 6 inch holes because im wondering if it might be more efficient to cool the room by exhausting near the hood. Instead of exhausting near the ceiling which is what im currently doing.
just for efficient reflection. i just didn't want a 6 inch deadzone.
edit: I should probably explain a little more. Im deciding whether its more efficient to cool my room from a single opening in a hood or to continue as i am doing it. (an exhaust fan in the return air duct at the top of my...
