Weight can be difficult for me to tell, i usually stick my finger in the dirt. I can try checking the weight, but because i use tomato cages it already makes them pretty heavy. I'm in week 3 of flower and the buds are looking quite nice so far if that helps.
I have 9 plants in a fair size room under 600w MH/HPS all in 7 gallon fabric pots in sunshine advanced #4 and i've been watering a half gallon per pot, but it takes a solid 3-4 days for the medium to dry out. Am I over doing it? I use to water much less and more often, but my plants were often...
2 of my strains have lower and middle leaves yellowing and dying (mostly lower) I read on growweedeasy that its probably nitrogen deficiency. I grow in an inert soilless medium and feed maxibloom, rapidstart, and calmag with every watering. I am currently in week 3 of flower. Should I add a...
I can't speak for all of their products, but I personally did not like Ocean forest. Ocean forest had a big following many years ago, but if you do your research sometime around 2011 their original extraction site for the ingredients ran dry, and they had to look elsewhere. Since then they've...
while the meter is fairly inexpensive, it got good reviews and after calibrating it using this solution (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BUV7L96) it seems pretty acurate. It tests the 7.0 solution from this solution pack at 7.1 which is fair given that it's accuracy was listed +- .2
I'll test that a little later tonight, but i dont think i have the screw to which you speak of. I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MG3VF7Q
I ordered seperate bottles of calibration solution, but i wasn't sure if those would be good for actual testing because in the box it says that the meter is suppose to recognize certain solutions in order to be calibrated properly. didn't really dawn on me until after i made the thread. so I can...
Is there a good way to "test" my ph meter. I just got one and calibrated it, and when i went to use it the numbers seem a bit odd. It saying that my tap water comes out of the tap at 8.1 that seems a bit high. It also says that my watering solution which i tried to put at about 6.5 using the...
yeah but anything other than charged soil is just a neutral medium. does peat moss have a different makeup than the charged soils aside from nutrients?
I mean, its sunshines #4 advanced peat moss mix. It says soilless, but im not sure how that works. it looks and smells like soil, im not sure what the difference really is but it seems to be labeled soilless
Im about to buy a ph wand and it got me thinking that I dont know exactly where I should have my ph. I usually aim for something between 6.0-6.5 on my color chart. Is that right? My medium is sunshine advanced peat moss.
Im all about cost effectiveness, but maybe i'll spend a few more bucks and get this one just in case http://www.amazon.com/Instruments-Waterproof-Meter-Temperature-Measurement/dp/B00MG3VF7Q/ref=sr_1_30?ie=UTF8&qid=1454215176&sr=8-30&keywords=ph+meter ? I mean, my concern is how can you actually...
Everyone tells me that I need to ditch my ph color dropper tester kit and get a real wand, problem being, im not spending $100+ on one of these fancy things. Does anyone know a good inexpensive one that does its job well?
