Odor Control- need someone with experience

You need to control intake and exhaust. If you have that controlled, adding a filter to your fans will take care of most of your odor issues. They sell cheap ones at pet stores for a certain style of litter box, and those are meant to hide the smell of cat piss and shit, so they're pretty effective.

    Stealth

Low stress training (LST) and keep the lights close. Plants should be kept in suitably sized containers unless you want them root-bound (you don't). CFLs are your friend. Check my abandoned journal for a setup I improvised that's proven quite stealthy.

Steam Dry:::the Best Quick Dry Method

This is a terrible idea. Nobody do this. If you want to sample buds early, throw them in a vaporizer.

What is the best strain for growing outside in the southeast

Jamaica's humid as hell too. Don't sweat it. On June 21st they will begin to flower because the days are getting shorter. I think you can take your pick. You live in one of the most fertile places on earth. .22. Free grub too.

    Not sprouting!!!

Yea, you want to choose the healthiest-looking seeds (darker in color). Did you special order these? I've personally never had a problem with intact bagseed, and I assumed the mail-order stuff to be even more reliable.

    they are dead! RIP!

I don't know man, you believe in karma?

    Not sprouting!!!

I recommend germinating before actually planting the seed. Sounds like you've got some bad eggs.

    Lil help plz

If you have the room, I think it's a much better idea to tie the plant over, exposing the lower sites to light. Why waste any of your plant's hard work?

    is this normal?

Depending on the plant, that could be a good thing. Mine's been growing sets of nine and eleven from the get-go (since maybe the fourth matching set) and it just starves the lower branches for light. On the other hand, greater leaf surface area means more growth potential. Having so much foliage...

Now my seeds are germed.... new help is needed. :)

The white part is both the root and the main stem. The seed shell contains what will become the embryonic leaves, so you want that part pointed up, the root tip down. Of course, seeds will almost always figure this out on their own because they re-orient themselves towards the sun based on...

    It's a girl!

I wonder what it'll yield, and what I could change to improve that yield at this point. I'm a bit concerned that it took over two full weeks to even verify the sex on this one. This a CFL grow w/ the right sort of bulb for flowering, so lighting is covered. One thing is that I've been keeping...

    It's a girl!

Just thought I'd post some pictures of the one that made it (other two were male). I've found plenty of good advice searching this site, so thanks! The pistils don't show well in the pictures unfortunately. They're still very small as they showed only two days ago.

How many hours a day do you stare at your plants?

After two of the three were dudes (and showed earlier, chopped immediately), I've found myself spending a good amount of time inspecting this lovely lady since she showed her pistils a few days ago. But they only get direct light with the boxed closed, so I have to be quick. I probably tend to...

    Growin

Here's where I pretend that anybody's reading this shit. I love giving Uncle Sam a ton of evidence pro-bono. Suppose I should've given the journal a title like "OMG First Time CFL Closet Grow" and written my posts without punctuation for a better reception, maybe I'd get some questions answered...

    Growin

This plant is almost 6 weeks old now, about ten days in flower, and is looking like a girl (time will tell). How does it look?

    Growin

Had to kill one of the two big plants today because it turned out a male. Here's a pic of the other one, tied over. Still too early to tell sex... *crosses fingers*

    Is this plant male?

Been in flower for about a week. The other one's still too early to tell, but I'm pretty sure this is a male plant. Any reason to believe otherwise given these pics?

New York City Diesel, ever smoke it?

Last winter I smoked a quarter a week of NY sour dies for a a couple months. Good stuff but a little heady for me, I prefer the indicas. Smells so good though...

    Second attempt on bag seed

A month old? Damn, that's a tiny plant (but it's all relative I suppose). I know this goes without saying, but you're wasting your time, bagseed or not, by using an incandescent bulb. It's pretty rough on energy too if you were ever to use more. Why not replace this bulb with a single 27W CFL...

    Growin

The taller plant is now tied over at nearly a 90˚ angle, and the other one's at about 60˚. I'm surprised by how well they took being tied down.
