Zone 8 may see frost. For sure..I live in 8A. Lot of variance. Too cold for citrus here. But a few miles and a microclimate or two away, citrus is OK. Basic rule of thumb. If citrus will, apples won't. I don't think zone 9 frosts....not sure of this. pineapples are a bromiliad...1 fruit...
