Does this look like Cal/Mag Defficiency?

THANK YOU! Sorry about the pic quality. I knew I had to get pics fast and get them posted. And the HPS lighting, of course, would just mask some of the color/contrast. Cal/mag was actually my first guess, but it didn't appear quite as any other cal/mag problem I have dealt with before (not a...

Adding Soil and question about SodaStream.

Agreed. Roots are most important! When they're little like that, that's probably one of the biggest mistakes people make, over watering and or watering too often. Letting them dry out makes them dig deeper in search of water.

Adding Soil and question about SodaStream.

I'd just water as normal, if your soil drains well and you have some air movement. Just don't want it to stay soggy around the stem. As for the fresh soil being dry after you put it in, it's not in contact with your roots, so shouldn't damage your plant before your next watering, but moistening...

Can you ever have too many tops?

Hahahaha, that was a FIM (acronym for "Fuck, I Missed") topping, even though it was accidental. Catch the top node as it's developing/protruding, before it opens to reveal individual leaves, and cut only about 2/3-3/4 of it off. Leaving just a teeny tiny piece of the top (got to play around and...

Adding Soil and question about SodaStream.

It's hard to tell how big your pot is, 7-8 in., maybe? An 8" round tapered pot is real close, if not right at 1-1/2 gal (US). She'll be alright for the moment, but if that pot is a small as it appears, you'll likely need to transplant to a bigger pot within the next 2-4 weeks, depending on a few...

Safe to assume you're running hydro? For starting a small seedling, it sounds as though you're in the right ballpark, though I'm not familiar w your nutes. I use this as a GENERAL REFERENCE/starting point ONLY, and I start out on the light end of the scale, and error on the side of caution-

Sunny, may I butt into your thread, and ask the Dr. a question? I believe I may have something similar going on.

    Eagle Claws and Canoes

Yeah, after doing the math, it is around 1.5 gal, and that may be pushing the limits on required space. But I don't think that's your prob, yet. Appears to me you you need to up your N in your feed mix. Those pics there tell a better story than the first. Just my opinion. I use 1.5 gal square...

    will 4 x23 w 6400k be enough for veg?

Key word being small. If you only veg for a week or two, keeping it small, (4) of those 23w will flower one, and can have some impressive results- for cfl's. If you veg one out for much longer than that, you'll get plants too big to effectivly light. I used them on autoflowers for a while, and...

    First HID Grow

Your little babies are so cute! And they grow up so fast! I go into my room every day (well, I try to. lol) at exactly 3 minutes before my lights come on, (or you could do it as the lights go out, whichever works best for your schedule- but be consistent) and I use a little superbright LED...

Pure Blend Original w/ Fox Farm Ocean Forest???

I dig the FF OF soil, but it pays to know your plants! In my own experience- the soil nutes are usually enough to sustain for a couple of weeks- for most strains and conditions. I don't like to wait until my plants become deficient, mainly because I grow from clones- that go directly to 12/12...

For transplanting, I use 1/4 tsp of Superthrive/gal, water with it the day before you transplant, and water them in with it the day of. Often, they'll never miss a lick!

    First HID Grow

Nice job on your set-up, man! Sounds like you've done some homework, and it will pay off in the end! In my own personnal experience with autos, they seem to start out slow, until they get a root network established, then they'll grow like mad. When they start stretching, hang on! I've used the...
