Testing the Aerolife True HPA AA (Air Atomized) System -First run

Welcome back Trich! You mean to tell me that you ventured across the pond & didn't have a beer with Atomizer??? I've been checking the threads every so often, but it really has been a ghost town for awhile. I recently watched a documentary called gashole, and inadvertantly picked up a new hobby...

    Outdoor hydroponics Mike Young style.

I just love old farms. Ya never know what your gonna find in the tall grass. This monstrocity is a 1500 gallon tank that once held orange hand cleaner. It's 11.5' long and a little over 5' in diameter. Oh, and it cost me absolutely nothing. I love free. I now have dreams of aquaponica. Not quite...

    Outdoor hydroponics Mike Young style.

So my ambitions are getting the better of me, and I plan to build me a bigger greenhouse. 50' x 20' high tunnel is what I'm thinkin... The high tunnel may prove to be too much of a pain in the ass, and I may just go standard hoop-house style. Here's the area I've got plotted. I spent a day...

Tefen Nozzles @ 100 PSI for Aeroponics

Nice hex table! I built me one just like it a couple of years ago. Perfect for backyard bbqs. Sorry, on with the show.

manual pumping a hp aero system

No reason that should've hurt. You found a retro version of the timer alot of people use, at half the price. It's probably built with better components as well. I know one or two people have used the plastic soleniods with no issues. I'd stay away from the brass though. I dig your mushroom...

manual pumping a hp aero system

Exactly. You can't hurt anything by going over on the amperage. The 120 volt is just an option, but not necessary.

manual pumping a hp aero system

You'll wanna make sure that timer is universal voltage. The newer ones are.

manual pumping a hp aero system

Wow, you found an old 422. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Atomizer sent me this diagram some time ago. The 120 volt power can be substituted with 12. It's super easy. I made it even simpler by using a single power source for the timer & solenoids by using jumpers on the 7 & 8 pins and the 1 &...

manual pumping a hp aero system

I had a thread some time ago, but kinda abandoned it & posted stuff in Trichy's wildly more popular thread, lol. I've tried a couple of dif chambers now. Both of which I wasn't all that satisfied with. I just ripped my room apart yesterday as I just finished a pretty disappointing crop. Too many...

Need some help with this outdoor drip system PRONTO

You're 633 gph pump will handle a decent amount of head. I'm currently running 2 of em with 5' of head. Depending on your climate, you may want to bury your main res, and pump up to a second (smaller) res, and let gravity feed your lines. I would also not be afraid of completely ditching the...

JG's are certainly worth the money. Here's where I and I believe others have purchased them. http://www.uswatersystems.com/shop/categories/Reverse-Osmosis-Fittings%2C-Tubing-%26-Valves/ There are similar fittings made by watts at your HW store. They should only be used in a pinch though as they...

    Questions about drill holes

The blue tube is to provide you with a visual of how much water is in your res. If you drill a hole where you suggested in the pic, you'd a nice "drain & drain" table. I assume your friend probably trusted his cycle timing, but I'd still add an overflow port for safe measure against user error...

You're going to have a tough road ahead if you keep going about in this manner. But hey, I'll watch.

    DIY Aeroponics Arduino Timing

What about ph & ppm/ec reading? My thoughts are that if you could make arduino read these things, you're a couple of solenoids away from a controller. =D Those dosing machines look expensive as hell. To be able to build one for 100 bucks or so would be fantastic. Might even find yourself on the...

2.8? Damn, I'm far below that. Kinda wish I would've put an isolation valve in between the two drums to keep different nute strengths. 110 gallons I think is a bit overkill for what I'm running. Oh well, I'm no stranger to a re-build. :)

That sounds like a pressure washer (piston style) pump. Aren't those usually made with brass, or did you find a SS one? This is nice! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=jALY1a8ZLAw

I kinda goofed in stating that the last vid I posted was 1 month in. It was actually 1 month from the time I finished building the system. I didn't get plants in the thing for another 2 weeks after that. My bad. Don't want to come across a a flake. Here's progress after a month in the system...

Very cool, but the last thing I wanna be adding to my room is a boiler. :) The vortex is pretty cool.

    True HP Aero For 2011

My attempt at trying to convince the public I'm Canadian, lol. I personally ditched my two 40 gallon round chambers (26" diameter) for a single chamber (coffin style) as roots choked off not only the misters, but the entire bottom of the root mass. While the nozzles are free & clear in my...

    True HP Aero For 2011

At $100, the aquatec is probably looking pretty nice right about now. :) It fills my 19 gallon/5 or so gallon drawdown in a little over 35 minutes without me ever breaking a sweat.
