The trick is to get 2 or 3 pairs of trimmers. Keep them soaking in a glass with isopropyl alcohol and swap them out often. Keep a towel close by to wipe dry and swap, swap, swap. Also check out bonsai trimmers. Lots of options out there, good to have a variety of tools in your box.
