DIY LED grow light help wanted

That's not what you need. I would seriously consider contacting Merry and having her suggest a driver for you. Let us know what she says. It might depend on how many White/Blue LED's you're using, however, as Blue LED's usually run at a slightly higher voltage. GL!

DIY LED grow light help wanted

jackbukc: Those mcpcb's only have two contacts. You'd have to scratch/scrape the black paint off the face, cut/break the copper traces in a few places, possibly drill holes for wires, and then solder directly to the copper trace. It requires more effort to hook a separate driver to each line of...

DIY LED grow light help wanted

You'd probably need ~30V x ~2.5A or something around there for that mcpcb with 3W LED's. If that's what you want I'm sure Merry can source a suitable driver for you at a reasonable price.

Yes, that is the eBay seller I'm talking about. Link to her store: http://www.ebay.com/sch/merryday168/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= She has certain things that aren't listed (drivers at certain specs, LED's of certain wavelengths, etc.) so if you plan to buy from her and there's something...

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

No real clue on the quality of the weed. It looks fairly dense to me, it's got a fair amount of crystals (I feel the purple/pink hue of many grow lights exaggerates trichomes, so pictures might not be telling the whole story), and it gets me high. Before I started smoking the popcorn it had been...

Those LED's might very well be (actually probably are) soldered to those stars with thermal grease on the package, though.

DIY LED grow light help wanted

I bought it pre-soldered from an eBay seller. I specified the wavelengths and CCT's I wanted, what quantity, and where on the board they would go. She soldered everything for me, suggested a driver, and shipped everything out in a timely fashion. All I had to do was solder the driver to the...

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

There seems to be some interest in these Violet pump Warm White's. Too good to be true? Let's find out together. The company is Yuji: http://www.yujiintl.com/high-cri-led-lighting I've been in contact for about two weeks with one of their reps, Alex Nakao. Here's a few things that we've talked...

That CPU cooler won't cool that mcpcb, it's not big enough. Yes, it should be able to dissipate the Watts, but you'd need some type of heat spreader to get the heat away from the LED's and to the CPU cooler. Otherwise only LED's that sit directly underneath, or close to, the CPU cooler will see...

G2-800w PARmaxx parabolic refraction integrated full spectrum LED grow light - 4x4 cr

Dude, that looks like a fire hazard. That's all sorts of messed up. Not their fault as I'm sure they're not making the multichips themselves, but sheesh. Hope it's an isolated incident. Best of luck on getting it replaced.

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

I'm in contact with a company who's making high CRI, Warm White, Violet pump LED's. They are currently working on a 1W package due to customer demand. I would very much like to make an Astir inspired panel mostly with these Warm White's. Here's the SPD's of their 3000K and 5200K: Not even sure...

    Flowering with Cree bulbs

No prob, glad I could help. If you want the rotisserie motor it's yours, cost of shipping. I will say, though, that strategically placing Cree bulbs like captain does essentially aims to even out the light distribution from all angles, which a light mover is also attempting to do, somewhat.

No, that doesn't sound too fast to me. How will the LED wires not get tangled up, though?

I stole a rotisserie motor from an old grill. Never got around to trying to figure out a solution for implementing it. How fast do you want it to rotate?

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

Pretty cool pattern on the wall right outside my flower tent when the door is only a slit open. All lights on. Was gonna try to finish this one by slowly turning the hours down, but then decided to just move the three girls into the flower tent. I think lesson one from this grow is manage soil...

    LED spectrum vs the Sun

I'd wager it is possible the indoor flowers require different nutrition under different light qualities. I.e. solve the Mag def and flowers might look more alike. Also, 660nm is not considered Far Red. Usually anything >700nm is. How much light do you need? What's your total wattage as of now...

Something like this, multi? http://www.newfrog.com/p/4-in-1-e27-base-light-lamp-bulb-socket-splitter-adapter-studio-photography-30023.html I've only seen 2-to-1, 4-to-1, and 9-to-1 adapters, but the 9-to-1 is far too expensive. You could build a chain that's endlessly long with some 4-to-1...

    JMD's #2 Indoor grow (hydroponic)

NW offers more Blue output for veg. For flower you can go 100% WW. I believe PF slowly changes out NW bulbs for WW as his plants progress into flower.
