You mean my CFL array? I built it for veg only, so I used 16x 26w 5600k bulbs ($12/4-pack at home depot) the closet stays open with a window fan blowing right on the bulbs (veg closets don't have to be light-proof), they're so cool you can wrap your hand around them, plants grow into the bulbs...

Is your meter calibrated? Are you storing it properly? The cheap ones should be calibrated every time you use them, and if they're not stored properly, they'll give wildly inaccurate ph results. Have you been testing your runoff?

I'd use fresh rubber gloves, unless they're brand new and haven't been used/handled. The whole point is to keep any grease or oil off the bulb, so if those gloves are used for working, bad idea.
