Well, people use all kinds of additives. What I add to FFOF soil is 1 cup dolomite lime and FF nute trio, that's it. (I'll be trying molasses this grow)

2500 per sq ft is considered the bare minimum. I wouldn't say 3,000 is more than adequate, but you are growing pot in a shoebox so you have to be careful of the heat. What's your temps in there, out of curiosity?

OP, you don't have to cram a lot of plants in there to max your yield. You can grow your plants as big or as little as you want. As a new grower, you might run into nute/watering problems with smaller pots as there is a smaller margin of error. You will have to water more often and nutrient...
