I'd use cfls in that, what kind of budget are you working with? You can wire up 200-300w of cfl for around $50, which would do 3 plants nicely. I wired 16 of them together with $1 extension cords, pics in my sig.

Basically, all you need to do is exchange the air in the closet while keeping it lightproof. A fan venting out the top of the door would be perfect. I'd get at least 100cfms, 150 for a carbon filter.

I doubt it, but some people say that there's no difference in vegetative growth rates between 18/6 and 24/0. I don't think it will make much of a difference if you switch. When do you plan on flowering? edit: lol, just caught that, 16/8 my bad... yea, I'd go at least 18/6 if not 24/0

Best thing I ever did was add cfl side lighting to my HPS cab, giving those lower buds more light made a significant difference in yield. So even if you can't increase your budsites, you can always make the existing ones fatter. :leaf:
