Hey Wow - I got 2 x Lowryder 2's about 2 weeks from finishing (check my grow journal) I used a 400W HPS for flowering & they have been in 6L square pots all the way through, mine were regular seeds I got lucky with the 1st two I germed..bot Females.. I do believe Fem seeds have a higher rate...

I usually start flowering when they show sex, as soon as they do that I put them into flower, I usually veg for about 4 weeks before flowering also, The plants are about 1.5 ft tall before I put them into flowering mode.. The longer you veg the bigger the plant/yield all depends on what space...

Yeah the actual bulb itself - 6 inches should be fine esp with your cooled hood..

I have a standard 400W HPS (not cooled) it is about 8-9 inches from the tops of my Lowryder's - just do the hand test.. if it's too uncomfortable for the back of your hand it will be too uncomfortable for your plants.. You could easily get the cooled hood 6 inches from the plants I reckon..test...

You can get pH pens on eBay for about 7 quid inc p&p (budget end).. You can also get Canna nutes on eBay or pretty much any Hydro/Grow store in the UK.. just google it I am now going to grow as many Autos as I can instead of just one BIG plant..(I have a grow tent so Autos are perfect) you can...

A pH pen or probe would be handy yes, your tap water should be near the recommended Ph range anyway if you are growing in soil, I have seen many growers who just use tap water & nutes that have had great grows without the need for a pH equipment, I have always used one personally just for peace...

Nirvana's Auto seeds have only been out for about 2 months so the jury is still out as to whether they are any good or not, there are a few Nirvana Auto grows on here that are near to finish if you do a search.. How are you gonna grow them? soil, hydro etc? & what strain? then we can help...
