Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

@earthling420 Yes, I would use the normal foliar rate. Depending on what kind of aloe you are using I would say 1-2oz per gallon. Peace! P-

Top dressing peat moss lower ph?

I would not consider this to be using the soil food web. So I'll have to digress to anyone else with experience in this style of growing. Best of luck, P-

How do you figure? 12 gallons xl chunky perlite = no peat 8 gallons peat moss = 8 gallons peat 8 gallons roots organic(lil less than one bag) = guessing here 3-5 gallons peat? 8 gallons ewc = no peat 8 gallons garden compost locally sourced(no manures) = no peat So the way I see it he has like...

Mixing this soil MON.....all opinions welcomed.

Don't have a lot of time, but quickly, I have some concerns about 6 cups of azomite and SRP (especially SRP). I would cut that way down, like in half. And I still wish you could find a little basalt or glacial rock dust, but roll with what you have. Cooking soil can be done in a rubbermaid, or...

    charging/activating my biochar......HELP PLEASE

You can leave it in there for a long time. A grower I respect let his sit for a month or longer unaerated. You're not going to hurt anything. Imo you both want to fill up the cation exchange sites and add a little microlife to it. Wouldn't hurt after it's dried to toss it around with some ewc...

Quickest way to break down a root ball??

What I have found is with a larger bed of soil, veg times are reduced dramatically. Therefore, I go 2-4" squares for cloning/sprouting, transplant into 1 gallon pots (the 7" white hydrofarm squares cause that what I have), and then I put 4-5 plants per 100 gallons of soil. They veg two weeks...

Quickest way to break down a root ball??

Yessir, multiple plants per pot! I think this is a strictly opinion question/answer, but for me, I'd say a minimum of 15 gallons per plant. Could you do it in 5's? Sure, but you're going to have to pay closer attention to your watering, and it gets a little tricky with the no-tilling. If I...

Quickest way to break down a root ball??

^^^This is my thoughts as well. Will adding em-1 hurt? No, not at all. It's good stuff. Would I run out and spend $35 on a bottle to help break down root balls? No way. Our soils are a huge microbe consortium. Keep the environment hospitable and the population will explode. I'm in week three of...

With all respect, I say if it works for you, run with it. I know with my current set up, I'd have some serious adverse effects at that ratio. So maybe if someone is not use to using emulsified neem, start off with a lower dosage and work up. In my experience it's best to hit them every 3 days...

    "Water Soluble" Tea

I have not foliared with molasses or enzymes, so I really can't comment on that. Humic acid may leave a little residue on the leaves, but I don't see any problem with foliaring. Maybe test a few branches before you spray the whole garden. Personally, I wouldn't use any molasses unless I was...

    "Water Soluble" Tea

Imo you want to make a different recipe for foliar or drench. Humic acid, molasses and enzymes won't give you much benefit on the phyllosphere. The power of a true fulvic acid is the molecule is small enough to go through the leaf stomata and therefore is able to be foliared. I'd leave out...

Quickest way to break down a root ball??

^^^ Yep, this. I don't know about being gone in 2-3 weeks, but they will break down pretty darn quick and become foodstock for microbes. This happens in nature and there is nothing to worry about. My last transplant the roots were so thick, it was work to dig a small hole to put the new plants...

That's a lot of neem to one gallon. I use 1-2 tsp (5-10ml) per gallon of neem oil, 5ml of protekt, and 1/8th tsp of 200x aloe. I find about 80-82 degrees to be the sweet spot for keeping things emulsified without getting chunky. Cooffeeee...... P-

x713, that's just ridiculous, lube is right. The price from da hydro guys around here is $98 and I refuse to pay that. You have to have somewhere that sells livestock feed? Should be about $60 from a feed store. I think it's even a little less than that around here. P-
