Cannatrol vs. Freeze Dryer

Anyone got a discount code? I literally ruined my entire harvest to mold. It's mold or dead ass dry in days. Nothing in between.

Appreciate the follow-up. Pretty close to convinced, the environmental control issue is big for me, I have very small windows of “good” weather for ambient conditions to be helpful, leading to the question of cannatrol operating environment- I’ve seen it recommended to run it 73 degrees or less. Do you find this to be relevant? Peace of mind is worth a lot, and a successful dry/cure has been a struggle for me, hardest part of the game for me.
The ambient room temps haven't been an issue. I usually break my room down and disinfect it in the week or so following harvest. So my room temps are 80 degrees or lower. It hasn't been an issue. In my 1st dry/cure cycle, I had the Cannatrol in my bedroom and I now have all 3 in my sealed grow room.

.

I just placed my order for 1 Cannatrol, after exchange to Canadian it came to about $2,686 (with shipping), and we still have Duty and HST to add on.

I have a feeling it'll be worth the money.

.

I went with the clear UV blocking glass, did you other folks go with the clear glass or tinted? Will it make any difference in the quality of the bud?

I have 3 Cannatrol Cold Cure units. They are AMAZING! Order one now! You won't regret it!!!

I've ordered extra racks and packed each one FULL of bud. I use EVERY available slot to put in a rack. You can't see any 'silver' when I'm done packing the racks (single layer only). And it performs just the same as when I was filling to about 50%.

Set it. And forget it!!!
So just how much dried are you getting out of it? How much were the extra racks?

I went and read some comments on a Youtube video talking about the Cannatrol... The level of ignorance is mind boggling. Is that just the modern cannabis community in general? Massive amounts of CLOSED MINDS?

No research, no looking to see what owners have to say. Nope, it's all "that's a wine fridge.. same thing!!" "I can do the same thing with a paper bag for $2!!" "Mason jars rule!!" "I can do the same thing with a AC Infinity tent and fan controller!!"

Is it not a modified wine cooler?
I have a modified wine cooler, and it works. I think the difference is in the convenience. First you don’t have to modify anything, and Cannatrol has done a lot of work in the control and programming, making it more set and forget. With a modified wine cooler you have to manually adjust the settings, etc. I have not had the chance to try the same plant dried and cured in both, but think the outcome would be similar. Your paying for the time spent in research and development to make it easy, which is what many people want.

I’m just fucking with you all. I just wanted you to admit it’s pretty much a modified wine cooler.

the software is cool. Nice if you need to set it and forget it. The price is a bit steep.

Here's what has me shaking my head:

'people' who have no intentions of purchasing a Cannatrol, who have never seen one in person, who have only seen a couple of short YouTube videos, and who have never tried the end product will boo-hoo the Cannatrol as "just being a wine cooler". They will ignore users who have 1st hand experience with Cannatrol because I can "make my own using a wine cooler" or "it's too expensive".

If you'll look through this thread, you'll see MANY Cannatrol owners who have found a LOT of value in Cannatrol. This biggest endorsement is that MANY Cannatrol owners have since purchased more units. I have 3 myself. I don't think you'll find a SINGLE Cannatrol owner who will tell you "yeah, it's just an overpriced wine cooler and I got ripped off!".

I've had many hobbies during my time on earth. From shooting competition pistols to off-road racing (and damn near everything in between). THIS is by far the MOST expensive hobby. EVER! I'm also a firm believer that you get what you pay for. Some things are worth it. Cannatrol is one.

I'm all for the DIY route. However, when I look at the totality of the circumstances, my DIY efforts may have saved me a few $$ but when you factor in everything, it didn't save me a whole lot and the solution wasn't exactly foolproof. I've failed more than I've succeeded and I'm at a point where peace of mind is priceless, and simplicity and consistency are paramount.

I'd love to see Cannatrol hold a contest and give away a new unit. "Come one, come all. Bring your dried and cured bud for a blind taste test as well as laboratory analysis." I can 100% guarantee there is a difference. My wife, who is at best an occasional puffer, can tell the difference and can identify by the 2nd toke whether the bud came from the Cannatrol or a brown paper sack. I kid you not.

Do I wish the Cannatrol unit was bigger? MUCH bigger? Sure. I spoke directly with the owner and he explained that it simply boils down to cost. He can manufacture a refrigerator-sized Cannatrol to hit the spot between a small home grower and a full-blown commercial grower. However, it would be cost-prohibitive. Apparently, the technology behind this isn't cheap and the production/manufacturing challenges post-Covid drive the cost to a point that most cannot afford it.

Here's the comical part:

Many complain about the cost of Cannatrol. Yet, those same individuals will pay $1k for LED lighting, $50 a gallon for the new whiz-bang nutrients, beneficial bacteria, and pest management solutions, or $300 an ounce for top-shelf smoke. But a $1,600 investment to protect your harvest is just too damn much. To be honest, I don't see how anyone can NOT justify the cost.

BUYER BEWARE: If you purchase a Cannatrol, you will purchase a 2nd and possibly a 3rd unit!

Haha to the “will buy two or three more” cause they’re so good @HydroDawg421

this item is on my list. Dry/cure is tough IME. Seems like this product eliminates the guess work and if you use it right and often it’s gotta be paying for itself sooner than later

I can do the same thing with an air conditioner and cool mist humidifier lol

anyone that wants to believe cannatrol isn't a rebadged fridge should peel the giant label off the front just to be sure they don't find these doohickeys underneath https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B5XKK7GC/
Do you really believe that owners and people interested don't know that the base unit is some sort of wine cooler? THey would be retarded as a business to try and make that cabinet on their own. Just what do you think you've "discovered"? If you don't wanna get one... DON'T!!! Don't worry about it and you can continue with your second rate smokables.. simple.

Wait til he finds out about the auto industry! You’d be amazed what parts you find in a Toyota Yaris that are in a top $ Lexus at who knows how much of a mark up lol…

Anyone else over pack their Cool Cures? Notice any ill effects to the machine? Would it void the warranty?

I'm set to receive my CC in two weeks, and my current grow of Super Lemon Haze should be ready in 6-8 weeks. I can see the CC holding about 1/4 - 1/3 of my top colas, I don't want to go back to my old way of drying for the rest of the plant.

I can't wait to get the CC, I don't think I ever dry/cured my harvests correctly.

I didn't say over-pack. Just packed to capacity.
