Probably at least 2 more weeks on that big bud CPH... remember what you told me..."patience is a virtue" LOL Looking good brother..

LOL, maybe I should take my own advice... It's about this point thou that you start to get anxious.:-?

Do you think I should give them 1 more dose of some nutes or continue with water? The 1 in the 3rd pic is different plant than the bud, I'll get more pics up later. The way all the leaves are changing is bothering me, but with soil nutes I'm worried about over doing it agian.. Thanks for stopping by.:peace:

Took alot of pics tonight. Wanted to show all 8 girls.

4 @ 51 days. 2 might have 2 weeks, and 1 has probably 4 weeks by the look of it. The other 1 is the runt and might hav e 2-3 weeks.

1 @ 30 days. This 1 is the sharing a pot with the hermie that went away. Probably about half done.

3 @ 18 days. They are getting pretty tall compared to the rest. They were as tall after an extra month of veg as the ones that were flowering.

The pics are: Pics 1-3 Maybe 2 weeks left, all of the fan leafs are turning yellow even after I fed her 1 more time.

Pics 4-6 Agian 2 weeks, Only a few fan leafs left. But the top cola look great.

Pics 7-9 This 1 I think will go 4 more weeks. The buds are looking good and have some wieght to them but a real airy, not a dence as the others. I'm hopig it is a sativa dom and is going to take alittle longer to fatten up.

Pics 10-12, 2+ weeks, this is the runt. I should get enough to make it worth keeing her alive.

Next generation on next post.:bigjoint:

Pic 1, rite around 30 days. Shared with the hermie, but I don't see any seeds.

Pic 2 about 3 weeks in, looks good to me!

Pics 3 and 4, the tallest one. Had to tie her down. Figured it was easier than my other options.

Pics 5 Agian 3 weeks in and happy!

Now it's time for :sleep::peace:

The grow is looking good. +rep

I just wanted to stop in and share some information about harvesting at the right time.

I'm gonna go ahead and copy+paste something I wrote in another thread.
I'm personally of the opinion that 90% of the growers on this site (And probably in general) harvest too early. By letting the plants go a little longer you're ensuring that the've plumped as much as they're going to.
Despite popular opinion to the contrary(and don't fool yourself, the jury is still out on this one) Recent studies have shown ;contrary to what was previously believed, that THC itself (And its predecessor THC-A) are quite guilty of causing the confusion and drowsyness associated with burnout and other cannabinoids (our friend CBN, and a handful of others) to be the catylist (along with THC) to being 'high' rather than 'baked'
Regardless, whether or not theres any substance to the aforementioned study, its easy to get the high you want.
If you want a soaring 'cerebral' high: Get yourself a tropical sativa that contains a high level of THC-V and grow it until it is ripe.
If you want the narcotic couchlock stone, grow a rugged indica until its ripe.
Notice a pattern of growing it until its ripe? Its a really good rule to live by.
OF course we have to remember that there is more to a good high than just THC. At last count there are at least 66 cannabinoids, and we don't know what most of them do.

Now alot of people will tell you that you should harvest based on the colour of your trichomes. But (again, in my opinion) that is far too simplistic and there are too many variables to make that an effective strategy. I've made that point a million times before and i'm not going to re-hash it here, but rest assured there is more to the picture than just trich colour.

A ripe marijuana plant will be filled in, will have an amber tinge to the buds. The pistils should have browned (or orange-d) off and receded into the buds. The seed bracts should be swollen and the trichomes should be sticking straight out with bulbous ends. Also, because you're coming close to the end of plant's life cycle, the leaves should have yellowed off and started to die.

one of my plants @ 10 weeks, 3 days before chop-chop.

Another very important (imho) reason to let your plants mature is Terpenoid production. Terpenes are responsible for alot of the complex (And enjoyable) flavours that cannabis produces. Some of the most intense flavours are produced on the "downslope" of cannabis's life cycle. My personal experience with this came when i was growing GH cheese. One of the plants i harvested at 8 weeks and it tasted pretty nice and had pretty dense buds. The other i grew until about 9 1/2 weeks and it had most amazing, sour, skunky, delicious taste with rock hard buds.
Hopefully this inspires you to let your plants come to full maturity before harvesting.
I also understand first grow, first harvest there is alot of excitement and you want to smoke all of your weed up as fast as possible. But please do yourself a favor and allow at least some of your weed to get a proper cure (at least 6 weeks) I think you'll find that it makes an incredible difference to the flavour and high of the bud.
Patience equals great bud, end of story.

Good luck! I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Thanks for stopping by!! I'm trying my best to be patiant, but it's hard. I think after looking at your pic, I cut down my 1st plant at least a week early. Hopefully that will eas the newb ich for long enough for me to let these fully ripen.

I should have time to put up some pics tonight after the lights come on.:eyesmoke:

the buds are blinding

Thanks b0b!

Here are some more pics from tonight.

Pics 1-3 are the runt that should be done with in a week. I just picked as many little banana looking sacks as I could. The closer to the end the more it is getting.

That discription also goes for the plant in pics 4-8. Should be done soon!! In pics 7 and 8 there are what I'm asuming are the pollen sacks, any opinions?

Pics 9-12 are of the girl that got tied down. I think she looks great about 41 days into flower. Looks like it will be another long flowering plant.

I'll try to get pics of the rest tomorrow. My camera takes horrible pics in the room so I have to carry them out to get good shots. Enjoy!!:peace:

Yup, looks like you've got some bananas. An unfortunate problem with the bagseed. But alas, it is what it is.

If I could offer one piece of advice on picking the right time to harvest, it's all about watching the pistils. Not so much the colour, but the movement. They should have receded into the bud and the seed bracts should be swollen.

It should look less like this

And more like this.

Trust me when I say, it is worth the excruciating wait.

Oh yeah, looking like it's gonna be a frosty summer at your place. You might want to trim off those dead leaf tips to divert the energy and keep the dying tissue away from the buds. Great job cph.

Im trying to be patiant:wall: I think the hardest part right now is seeing all pollen sacks. I spent about 2 hours last night trying to get them off. I think I got most of them. It seems most the new calyx have the bananas coming out of them. Right now I'm pretty sure thier are at least 2 more plants starting to show signs of beeing hermie. That would make 6 out of 9. The ones that are not showing seem to be a different strain. The tied up girl is one of them. When I picked my seeds alot of them came from the same bag that I had not to long before, and they all look about the same.

You have given me lots of great info on when to harvest. I am hopeing to get your opinion on when to start flushing for the final 2 weeks. With all the reading I've done on here I haven't seen anybody talk about any other way than checking trichomes.

Thanks for the tip slabhead, I was think about that but wasn't sure. Those leaves got fried from nute burn. I over did it a little (ok alot) at first. lesson learned!!

I'll be trying to get up pics of the rest of them tonight.:peace:

Keep waiting brother, good things will come your way.

Learning the right time to flush is kinda tricky business, because you have the have an idea of when your plants are going to be ripe.
Honestly, if I were you I'd probably give them one last complete feeding (except for the earlier one) And ride it out. Cannabis is pretty remarkable for its ability to retain nutrients. I've had plants that were flushed for over a month and were still alive (a little yellower for wear). And of course, the longer the flush, the smoother and tastier the final product.:hump:

There's only 1 plant left at 67 days (pics 1-3). I'm thinking at least 3 weeks. The first one to go was 2 weeks ago. I cut it down a little early but it still smoked good. The 2nd 1 came down last night, because of a mold problem (see above post for link). It could have gone another week. Then the runt came down tonight. I just wanted more room and she was close enough for me.:hump:

Then there's 1 at 46 days. No pics, shes kind of ugly. Nute burn and shes part he.:?

The last 3 are at 34 days. I posted pics of 1 last week. She liked to be tied down. The 2nd 1 got a slight nute burn(pics 6 and 7), but is otherwise in great shape. The buds on the side branches are as big as the older ones main cola. The 3rd is looking real nice no nute burn just really thirsty(pics 4 and 5).

I also put in a air filter, details here - https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/207371-cphs-diy-air-filter.html.

Time for bed.:peace:

They look good and still filling out. Are you using any mollasses?
No molasses. I'm just using fox farms tiger bloom. Seems to do the trick. I have thought about it. Don't you use it towards the end, after you flush? Do you use it outside?:peace:

I do use it about the last month or two. After the days are short enough to have them in full flower way before final flush though. I'm sold on the results.
Man I was looking through the pocket scope I got at some of the trichs from last grows' sticky buds and would have to say HELL YEAH!!!!
