Ethical Dilemma

Well, at least you're consistent. Good luck with your discussion. We are at a fundamental disagreement. This discussion is quite personal for me also as I am a type 1 diabetic and we were targeted by Hitler's eugenics movement and the current modern eugenics movement has close ties to that one. So I doubt we'll ever be seeing eye to eye on this.

About 1/100 people are sociopaths. Most don't end up being serial killers or rapists.

Wait these are not even similar, if a man knocks a chick up he is responsible to help that child out, not her but the child yes. A women does get to decide if she has a child or not, involving the guy when making the choice would depend on the situation ( and the women ) but never should a lady have an abortion b4 letting the guy know whats going on.

Except the guy has no say in the abortion. I am all for mandatory child support. I just don't support the right to arbitrarily choose whether someone lives or dies (as I stated before I support the choice in cases of rape or complications, but that isn't so arbitrary). Women get abortions without consulting their man all the time and ultimately the man has absolutely no say in the matter. Quite frankly it's a bad mentality that creates problems in society IMO and reduces expectations on men greatly (as well as creating resentment). The woman can also always put the child up for adoption.
 
i know u all will hate me for saying this but
i wouldn't hesitate to have an abortion if i got pregnant with someone i didn't want to have a child with. i wouldn't feel like i had to consult the man. i certainly wouldn't care if he wanted the kid, it's my body, i am not going to carry a child for 9 months and give it to some idiot who didn't wear a condom. i wouldn't be in that situation but i understand why women have to do what they have to do.

it's not a baby anyway, it's just a fertalized egg.

Very much agree, i know 2 women who have had multiple abortions because they do not practice safe sex, i find it disgusting that they so easily made this choice multiple times when they were not victims or violated, simply careless. I'm also in like urself and feel abortion should only be given as an option by a doctor if the choice to use protection or even consent was not given, otherwise like people have said adoption is wonderful, my mother and step brother are both adopted, but i feel people should take responsibility for their actions ,

I absolutely agree. Although I wouldn't choose abortion for myself unless it was under extenuating circumstances, I think it should always be up to the woman. I don't care what her reasons are. You can call it selfish of her if you want, but men are selfish all the time.
 
i am talking one night stand or very casual infrequent relationship. someone you have an ongoing relationship with is another story.
