Smart is not that necessary...... honest will do nicely.
The founding fathers meant for the House of representatives to be made up primarily of "common people" who rotate out every 2 years or so. This has been replaced primarily by lawyers and professionals and needs to change. A check of the govt. has been taken away and should be put back in place.
Being as how you are so wealthy, why don't you just buy a new computer? 400-600 bucks will get you a decent desk top puter cheapskate.Sorry to be a bother, TOL ... but I'm using an old computer that doesn't have a sound card. So, with that in mind, would you be kind enough to recap the film in your own words, being very specific about what makes Glenn Beck "scum?"
Thanks ...

You're right about this. As of four years ago, the average senate seat cost 1 million dollars (considering campaign and travel costs). A House seat is a little cheaper, but still. This basic fact alone guarantees that the common man will never see himself seated in a position that he rightly deserves. It's sad really...
Well, we do have Dennis Kucinich. He still lives in a modest tract house, one he bought 25 years ago. I'ds say he is the closest thing to the "common man" we have in the house. Alas, he is but one of 450 odd representatives, not much influence there. It's true, most of the congress is bought and paid for long before they reach national recognition. The founding fathers meant for the House of representatives to be made up primarily of "common people" who rotate out every 2 years or so. Sham appearance, and his retirement benefits, health care and income are well beyond what the common man receives, but you of all people probably already know that.
I'd say that the best politician as far as honesty and belief in the principles that he supports would be Ron Paul, who has consistently voted against pay raises for representatives, against tax hikes, against wasteful spending, and makes a habit of returning a portion of his salary to the treasury in addition to refusing to take part of the immoral pension system that the government gives its employees at the expense of the rest of the citizenry.
Wait, but isn't Canada socialist? I thought all socialist countries have 100% tax rates. I thought they murder at will. I thought they were the root of all evil.
......with a huge social welfare program. Does that make it 'socialist'? Perhaps? By all modern nomenclature and jargon, it would be so.
More americans are on welfare than any other country in the world you know!!!![]()

oh i though ron paul was just a "fucking old guy" haha jk but yeah we need more people like ron pauli think the founding fathers would be proud of him
lets abolish welfare completely, and place in it a system that will loan money to the people for no greater than 2 years and force them to pay it back, and if they don't the govt can take their house. America is a place where you con fail. failing is an option! when the automobile companies came about we didn't see the govt bailing out the horse and buggy company, innovation will succeed. America can be tough or it can be a great place, its up to the individual
socialist what?? 100% taxed what???
its funny we're right next to your country we are connected we're on the SAME continent,
we are mere hours away, and yet most americans know absolutely NOTHING about Canada, isn't that wierd? Now I ask you why does a country with around 30 million people (Canada), per person actually have more knowledge, than a country with over 300 million people, that's also kind weird. You can't ALL be as unknowledgable as you seem?
Can You?
You have to give the Government exactly half of everything you win in the states, that would really suck, and you pay almost 30-40% taxes on what you make dont you?? that would also suck
LUCK I LIVE IN, AND AM CANADIAN

If we abolish the welfare the system then what do you plan on doing with the kids of these deadbeat parents? Do you make the kids suffer by denying them education and healthcare?
And if you understand capitalism, you surely see why 3-5% unemployment is absolutely necessary for the system to work. Adam Smith (among others) discussed the necessity of unemployed quite clearly. So if we have a system which mandates unemployment on some level, then isn't it a bit harsh to deny them some form of help? It's like breaking someone's legs and denying them crutches. Read up
